We’re looking for a full-time Trainer to join our ranks. You'll partner with corporate clients across diverse industries to identify their specific needs, craft customised training solutions, and deliver training programmes that drive measurable results. Scope of Work/Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop new communications programme and materials and/or customise existing programmes and training materials to meet the client’s learning needs.: (a) Training materials include presentations, handouts, and online resources. (b) Customisation process would include analysing learners’ needs and competency.
- Deliver high-impact communication and soft skills training programmes both online and offline. Programmes would encompass areas like presentation, business storytelling, negotiation, visual presentation, data storytelling, leadership communication, and more. You’ll start with our flagship programmes and curriculums first.
- Utilise diverse training methods like workshops, simulations, coaching, and e-learning to cater to varied learning styles.
- Facilitate engaging group discussions and provide personalised feedback to foster learners’ development and confidence.
- Design measurement and evaluation of learning outcomes in training and development activities.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching and implementing the latest trends and best practices in communication skills training.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure programme’s success and satisfaction.
- Continuously improve training programmes by collecting and analysing feedback and data.
- Collaborate with the team members (accounts manager, learning consultant, and project manager) to offer advice to prospects/clients and work towards the successful delivery of each training project.
- Work with team members and contribute to HighSpark's growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in communication, education, training, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of working experience related to teaching or coaching or training or designing of soft skills training programmes. (Negotiable if you have evidence of other trainings / delivery done before)
- Strong presentation and communication skills that captivate audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt training to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to foster trust and collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software such as PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proficiency in online video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Teams.
- A can-do attitude: Passion for learning and development, and a desire to continuously improve.
- Solid understanding of adult learning principles and effective training methodologies.
- Able to work well with team members remotely and independently
- Highly personable and enjoys working with people.
- Able to occasionally deliver programmes overseas such as but not limited to Indonesia, and Malaysia, (travel expenses covered) and occasionally deliver programmes over weekends (with off-in-lieu)
Bonus Points:
- Previous experience training at a corporate training agency, communications consulting experience or creative background.
- Proficient in the following areas: Presentation Design, Data Visualisation, Business Storytelling.
- Proficient in the use of online collaboration and classroom engagement tools such as Google Suite, Miro, Slido, and Mentimeter (or can pick these up quickly)
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g. Mandarin, Bahasa)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ACLP, ACTA, IHRP, CIPD)
- Experience with e-learning development
- Familiarity with Apple OS and Keynote software.
