Group Sales & Operations Planning Senior Manager

The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Group Sales & Operations Planning Senior Manager, to join our Group Supply Chain, Singapore team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Group Inbound Supply Chain Director, the primary purpose of this position is to drive data-based decisions relating to consolidated demand and supply plans across the company and ensuring alignment with the group financial forecast.


Key accountabilities include:


Accountabilities

Facilitate effective Group S&OP process

  • Act as process lead for the overall S&OP process, developing standard work across the regions including harmonised reports, tools and systems, calendar.
  • Support the monthly Region S&OP reviews, collaborating with region demand planners to drive visibility, insight and accountability with respective supply chain, finance, sales and marketing leaders who play a role in the process.
  • Lead the Group Executive S&OP monthly reviews, consolidating region level demand and supply inputs to identify risks, opportunities facing the business which require decisions from leadership
  • Collaborate to develop consensus demand and supply plan as an output of the Region & Group Executive S&OP, identifying clear actions and accountability to drive improvements and address issues and risks
  • Collaborate with Regional supply chain and finance leads to identify gaps to objectives, and set priorities and action plans to close those gaps to commitments and performance measure targets
  • Provide analysis of key KPI’s and financial data to identify performance and improvement opportunities and execute on those initiatives.
  • Key metrics to be managed: Inventory productivity, Forecast Accuracy & Bias, % Alignment between S&OP plan and financial forecast, SLOB % vs budget

Change Leadership & Knowledge Management

  • Lead S&OP change management across functions (Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, and Finance)
  • Lead activities with team members/SMEs to ensure completion of activities and capture, address, resolve, and escalate risks/issues
  • Develop and deploy process and system training to ensure all stakeholders are equipped to play their role in end to end S&OP process.
  • Build cross-functional commitment to the S&OP process through engagement and influence with key stakeholders.

Improve maturity of S&OP and supply chain planning process

  • Lead the Planning Systems Improvement Programme managing the project team to deploy system upgrade, functionality enhancements and new capabilities on time, on budget and to quality.
  • Drive change management around the programme to embed sustainable change, and ensure users are trained and equipped to fully utilise the system to drive better planning outcomes
  • Health check maturity of the S&OP process and drive improvements of the end to end S&OP process
  • Develop and deploy standard work at each step of the S&OP process, working with stakeholders to utilise system-based planning wherever possible
  • Lean out the planning process by identifying waste or duplication of process, and streamlining through process improvement and driving automation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.


Other key requirements for this role include:

  • Proven experience as a logistics manager or in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry in ANZ, South Africa, Asia, Japan, MENA and EU.
  • Deep understanding of logistics principles, regulations, and best practices in the pharmaceutical sector, including GDP and GMP.
  • Experience in managing transportation operations, including domestic and international shipping, temperature-controlled logistics, and customs requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving objectives and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Proficiency in using logistics and inventory management software systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex logistical challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
