Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join the International Tax Department to help shape, develop and execute SHEIN’s global tax strategies in respect of tax policy, indirect tax and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This person will have the chance to work with different departments in SHEIN and alongside business leaders. The ideal candidate will have a preference for non-conventional tax work and thrives in a work environment where the only constant factor is change. He or she should have a strong background in international taxation, have experience in tax business partnering, can work independently and possesses strategic thinking and communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor changes in global tax policies and regulations, assess their impact on the company's operations and advise senior management on potential risks and opportunities.
- Work with other departments to develop and draft global tax policy advocacy documents.
- Develop and implement indirect tax strategies to optimize the company's global indirect tax position and risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and optimizing indirect tax costs.
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of tax projects that directly impacts Business eg. Process re-engineering, new business models.
- Lead tax due diligence and tax integration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, identifying tax implications and developing strategies to mitigate risks and maximize value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to provide tax guidance and support for business initiatives and expansion projects.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- At least 10 years of international tax experience with a passion to make a difference.
- Experience in E-commerce/online business is a plus.
- Demonstrates thought leadership ability to communicate complicated tax matters across all levels of the organization in a value driven manner.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion and meeting deadlines.
