Assistant Sales Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and achieve the sales budget assigned effectively.
  • Identify, develop, prioritize & execute effective strategic growth plans to exceed business goals in the region.
  • Stay informed on current and emerging market trends, including technology advancements, customer applications, and competitive analysis related to the product line by compiling regular reports such as forecasts, visit summaries, market insights, and competition analysis.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with universities, research institutions, government agencies, industry partners, and distributors to create new market opportunities and support growth in emerging markets.
  • Meet or exceed targets for customer service, evaluations, validations, technical support, expenses and profitability targets for the tasked product line in the local region.
  • Recommend, organize or take part in seminars, presentations and sales negotiations for important or potential customers/partners
  • Co-ordinate planning and execution of a range of regional marketing activities including participation in tradeshows, seminars, product launches and regular product specific communications.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with key customers, potential customers and opinion leaders in related community as well as sales negotiations for important or potential customers/partners in local region
  • Support and foster effective working relationships with distributors in tasked region/market.
  • Optimize the distributor network for enhanced performance.
  • Explore and pursue new strategic markets for HORIBA Solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with other fields on cross-functional activities and business opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Science (preferably in Chemistry, Material Science, or Life Science).
  • Minimum of 5 years of regional sales, marketing, and management experience in analytical instrumentation.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading the performance of channels/distributors in Southeast Asia or Asia.
  • Experience in spectroProfessional and personal ability to deal with a high degree of latitude and responsibility.scopy is preferred.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and highly skilled in relationship management, communication, and persuasion.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required.
