Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery and Transport: Safely and efficiently transport catering orders to various locations, ensuring punctuality and adherence to delivery schedules.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect and prepare delivery vehicles, ensuring they are clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
- Food Handling: Load and unload catering orders with care, maintaining food quality and safety standards throughout the delivery process.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, event staff, and team members to coordinate delivery details and resolve any issues.
- Accuracy: Verify delivery orders against packing lists and invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Setup Assistance: Provide support in setting up food and beverages at event locations as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations, ensuring safe driving practices.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with team members to manage deliveries, solve problems, enhance overall service quality and report any issues to the management.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 3 Licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and handle food with care.
- Able to speak, read and write simple English
- Basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
