The Amazon Private Brands Global Sourcing team is looking for customer-obsessed driven individuals to own new supplier sourcing for Private Brand Hardlines business, including industry landscape analysis, supplier identification, vendor base upgrade to facilitate P&L management. It will interact with multiple external and internal partners, including vendors, product sourcing team, global product development team, supplier quality team, quality team, and social responsibility team etc.
The candidate is expected to have strong business acumen and strategic agility, and is passionate in identifying opportunities to provide solutions to business needs. He or she must be capable in driving business impact and deliver results under ambiguity or coping the challenges. A successful candidate will thrive in a highly collaborative, analytical, creative, and fast-paced environment. And the candidate is willing to roll up their sleeves and get things done.
Key job responsibilities
- Conduct industry landscape analysis and market research to identify suppliers as best match to be Amazon Private Brands partners
- Coordinate with internal functional teams to onboard new suppliers to Private Brand vendor pool, including but not limited to business pitching, cost benchmarking, factory auditing and SR auditing coordination, business terms negotiations, etc.
- Partner with Product Sourcing Manager, and other stakeholder teams to develop sourcing strategy across multiple categories globally.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve tools and productivity for vendors and sourcing teams.
- Write professional business documents for business updates and driving strategic initiatives for stakeholders alignment.
Basic qualifications:
- 5+ years of product or sourcing management experience.
- experience in Consumer Electronics industry, and own Consumer Electronics supplier sourcing intelligence and insight
- Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams
- Quick and curious to learn
- Fluent in Mandarin due to business needs
- Proficient in business communication including speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
- Experience in balancing conflicting priorities dealing with ambiguity
Basic qualifications
- 3+ years of product management experience
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level
- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
