Job Scope: The motor service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the complete overhaul process of electric motors, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, coordinating overhaul activities, and maintaining efficient workflow to meet project deadlines.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of technicians in the dismantling, inspection, repair, and reassembly of electric motors. Perform AC slip ring rotor rewinding, AC high voltage stator rewinding (Form coil).
- Quality Control: Ensure all overhaul activities comply with established quality standards and safety regulations.
- Scheduling: Develop and manage schedules for motor overhaul projects, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the team, addressing any complex issues that arise during the overhaul process. Competent in carrying out the rewinding job for AC and DC motor.
- Resource Management: Coordinate the procurement and use of necessary tools, equipment, and materials for overhaul projects.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all overhaul activities, including inspection reports, repair logs, and quality assurance documentation. Ensure to submit service reports to customers on time.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for technicians on best practices for motor overhaul and maintenance.
- Customer Liaison: Communicate with superior & clients to provide updates on job progress and address any concerns or requirements.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in motor maintenance and overhaul.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in motor overhaul and repair are advantageous.
- Preferable with a valid class-3 driving license.
- Able to work overtime when job requires.
