Customer Service (Shipping) Officer - Central - Up to $3800

Salary: Up to $3800 + 0.5mth completion bonus

Duration: 1 year contract (extendable/ convertible)

Location: 80 Robinson Road


Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a full set of Import/Export, Letter of Credit, and banking documents.
  • Prepare an accurate and complete range of shipping documents, including Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Wood Declaration, Marine Insurance, Form 6, Form 9, Annex 7, etc., in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and forwarding agents to ensure smooth and timely cargo delivery.
  • Communicate directly with shipping lines for draft Bill of Lading (BL), BL amendments, and master BL security printing.
  • Calculate pricing for hedge contracts to ensure correct invoicing.
  • Review all documents to ensure compliance with Sales terms, L/C terms, and customer requirements.
  • Follow up on deposit/LC issuance to ensure required payments are received before shipment.
  • Ensure the title of goods is transferred only as required based on payment terms.
  • Interact with customers to provide and process information regarding inquiries, concerns, and requests about documentation and operational matters in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as traders and fixation, to meet customer needs and promptly resolve any issues.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by the team leader.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma and above
  • Preferrable with LC knowledge
  • At least 3-5 years working experience in Customer Service and managing shipping documentation
  • Able to work independently and work within tight deadline
