Job Summary
The Online Sales Representative will drive e-commerce sales by engaging with potential and existing customers through online channels. This role involves managing online product listings, responding to customer inquiries, and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. The position offers a competitive base salary plus performance-based commission.
Key Responsibilities
- E-Commerce Sales and Management:Manage and optimize online product listings, ensuring accurate descriptions, pricing, and imagery.
Proactively reach out to potential customers via online platforms, including email, live chat, and social media.
Conduct virtual sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase product benefits and drive purchases.
- Customer Relationship Management:Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Use CRM tools to track customer interactions, manage leads, and follow up with prospects to close sales.
- Sales Strategy and Target Achievement:Develop and implement strategies to achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimize sales efforts and achieve goals.
- Market and Product Knowledge:Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to effectively position the company’s products.
Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s product offerings and their unique selling points.
- Reporting and Administration:Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and performance metrics.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Handle administrative tasks related to order processing, returns, and customer feedback.
- Collaboration:Work closely with the marketing team to align online sales efforts with promotional campaigns and digital marketing strategies.
Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure seamless order fulfillment and address any post-sale issues.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in e-commerce sales or online customer service is highly desirable.
- Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers effectively through digital channels.
Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Proficiency in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and CRM software.
Familiarity with online marketing strategies and tools.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
