Customer Service Specialist (1-year contract)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle complete set of I/E, LC and banking documents
  • Prepare an accurate full range of shipping documents, including Invoice, Packing List, Certification of Origin, Wood Declaration, Marine Insurance, Form 6, Form 9, Annex 7, etc promptly
  • Liaise and coordinate with suppliers, customers and forwarding agents to ensure smooth and timely cargo delivery
  • Liaise directly with shipping lines for draft BL, BL amendment and master BL security printing
  • Calculating pricing for hedge contracts to ensure correct pricing is invoiced
  • Checking all documents to ensure adherence to the Sales terms, L/C terms and customer requirements
  • Follow up on deposit/LC issuance to ensure required payment is received before shipment
  • Ensure that the title of goods is only transferred upon necessary based on payment terms
  • Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about documentation and operational matters in a timely and accurate manner and provide excellent customer services
  • Collaborating with other teams, such as traders and fixation, to ensure that customer needs are met and that any issues are resolved promptly
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by the team leader

Experience/Skills/Education:

  • Diploma/ Higher Nitec with 2 years experience in a logistic-related role.
  • Relevant certification is required, and formal logistics or equivalent educational background is preferred.
  • Shipping experience in LC, export Shipping Documentation containerized shipments, and incoterms preferred
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills on an individual and group basis
  • Possess a strong customer-centric personality and mindset
  • Highly organised and proactive individual who has a keen eye for detail coupled with a passion for providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work well under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-minded with good organizational and inter-personal skills
  • Able to work independently, under pressure, self-motivated, responsible and process-oriented
