- Patient Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and their families, greeting them warmly, addressing their inquiries, and providing assistance throughout their hospital stay.
- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for consultations, diagnostic tests, surgeries, and other medical procedures, ensuring optimal utilization of hospital resources and timely service delivery.
- Patient Registration: Facilitate the registration process for new patients, collect demographic and insurance information, verify insurance coverage, and ensure compliance with hospital admission policies and procedures.
- Billing and Payment Processing: Assist patients with billing inquiries, explain hospital charges and insurance coverage details, process payments, and help patients navigate financial assistance programs or payment plans if needed.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and allied health staff, to coordinate patient care activities, facilitate interdisciplinary communication, and ensure seamless transitions between different departments or units.
- Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' needs and preferences, address any issues or complaints promptly, and escalate concerns to the appropriate department or hospital administration as necessary to ensure patient satisfaction and quality of care.
