The HR Assistant is a hands-on role that provides Human Resources support to our Fulfilment Centre (FC) / Delivery Station (DS) associates. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
This is a full-time role with the current shift pattern of Monday to Friday; 7am to 4pm.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day HR-related questions and admin, such as new-starter processes, self-service tools, and time and attendance reviews.
- Being first contact/support for employees regarding attendance and various HR questions and services, coordinating/escalating as appropriate
- Data entry in a variety of systems including Excel files, PeopleSoft, and other miscellaneous reports.
- Create reports on a regular basis as needed for leadership at your site.
- Plan, manage and implement engagement plans and initiatives designed to foster employee wellbeing and experience on site.
- Run audits and analyses to ensure compliance with company processes, data protection, local employment law and HR best practices.
- Monitor and report attendance, absences and leaves.
- Conduct and schedule activities such as focus groups, gemba walks for your site.
- Audit and report on system and communicate inputs to the payroll team for accurate payroll processing.
- Work closely with HR leaders and management on people-related projects to create an engaging workplace environment.
- Manage cases, projects, and partner relationships with varying degrees of complexity.
- Provide training and guidance on policies, processes, and systems to customers and team members.
- Create and distribute standard communications
- Lead process improvement initiatives and develop suggestions for improvements to maximize value of resources.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
A Day in the Life
This is not a traditional office role, as you'll be working on-site and have direct contact with our Fulfilment Center/Delivery Station (warehouse) teams. You may work on shift rotations with your HR Assistant colleagues and also be required to support multiple sites as necessary. This means there is always someone from our HR team on hand to talk to employees and support with any queries.
The HR Assistant role is varied. As well as helping us stay on top of key HR processes, you’ll support leaders in your team on different projects to engage people. This may involve collecting feedback from people, running activities to engage them with new plans or helping to create an inclusive environment where employees feel they can bring any HR related queries.
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree with min. 6 months of HR operations experience
· Strong language proficiency iboth written and verbal
· Detailed oriented
· Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders across different levels, from ground staff to leadership
Preferred Qualifications
· Knowledge of data analytics and/or its relevant systems
· Experience working with basic employment law and HR/payroll practices
