Primary responsibilities
1.1 To receive, confirm and process reservations for the hotel.
1.2 To assist in compilation of statistical data pertaining to room reservations.
Job Function
- To handle inquiries and obtain correct information regarding details of reservation.
- To answer, confirm and process reservation requests. To ensure all information pertaining to reservations is properly taken and recorded in the system.
- To familiarize with the regular callers and acknowledge them by using names and telephone courtesy.
- To advise callers when confirming reservations that rooms will be held only up to a certain time unless guaranteed.
- To politely turn down on closed out dates and offer to book an alternative date or recommend another PHG Hotel.
- To keep up-to-date rooms available for sale and changes in hotel room rates.
- To maintain and update a Reservation Request Form File.
- To help maximize room sales by up-selling.
- To follow up on posting and payments.
- To perform daily checks on reports for No-Show, Traces, Arrival etc.
- To perform close out of channels through send out of Travel Agent close out Calendar or via extranet system or via Channel Manager.
- To ensure timely clearing of Corporate/FIT, Travel Agent/Online Travel Agent/Group Reservation email mailbox.
