Marketing Communications Executive


The Marketing Communications Executive will oversee and execute communication strategies across the firm. This role includes managing legal publication submissions, coordinating events, handling digital and social media content, and supporting branding initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and keen attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  1. Legal Publication Submissions:
    • Coordinate award submissions and manage legal directory entries (e.g., Legal 500, Chambers, IFLR1000).
    • Maintain a calendar of publication submission deadlines
    • Ensure timely submission and schedule partner interviews with researchers/editors.
  2. Event Planning:
    • Plan, organise and coordinate client and firm events, including budget management, collateral design, and corporate gifts.
    • Manage all aspects of logistics from organising to post-event follow-up.
    • Collaborate with Practice Groups and HODs to approve event activities.
    • Manage invitations, RSVPs, and stakeholder communication.
  3. Newsletter and Legal Updates:
    • Oversee content planning, coordination, and distribution of CNPUpdate via email and social media.
    • Update mailing lists, monitor metrics, and ensure GDPR compliance.
  4. Press Releases and Media Relations:
    • Prepare and coordinate publication of press releases with partners and stakeholders.
    • Handle media inquiries and ensure alignment with firm branding.
    • Develop strategies to enhance the firm’s reputation and visibility
  5. Content Creation and Management:
    • Collaborate with lawyers to gather information for content creation
    • Create, and update firm brochures, lawyer profiles, and corporate templates.
    • Create, manage digital content, intranet updates, and social media posts.
    • SEO optimisation, and online review management.
  6. Social Media and Website Management:
    • Post and monitor industry trends and engagement on social media platforms.
    • Keep website content current and aligned with firm activities.
    • Data analytics and reporting.
  7. Branding and Collateral:
    • Design and manage the production of marketing materials, including branded collateral.
  8. Project Management:
    • Lead or assist in projects related to corporate branding, client satisfaction, and email marketing.
    • Manage mailing lists and ensure compliance with PDPA/LAWSOC regulations.
    • Support lawyers in pitch and tender submissions when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate communications/marketing, preferably in a law firm or professional services.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and CMS.
  • Event coordination experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and design/video editing software (Adobe Photoshop, iMovie, etc).
  • HTML experience is a plus.
