About my client

I am representing one of the leading providers of secure communications, test and measurement, broadcasting, and cybersecurity.

Their innovative products are trusted by governments, defense organizations, and leading enterprises worldwide and as part of their expansion, they are seeking a Sales Manager to be in charge of market growth for new and existing businesses within the public sector.


About the role

Reporting to the Sales Director, your role would entails the following

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate the public sector and defense markets, focusing on both new business development (hunting) and expanding relationships with existing clients (farming).
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within government agencies, defense organizations, and other relevant public sector entities.
  • Nurture and grow existing client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional solutions.
  • Conduct regular reviews with key clients to assess their needs and develop customized solutions to meet those needs.
  • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with key stakeholders in the defense industry, ensuring a strong understanding of their secure communication needs and challenges.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored solutions that align with their strategic objectives and security requirements.
  • Work closely with technical and engineering teams to develop and propose secure communication solutions that meet the specific needs of the clients

Skills and experience required

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, with a strong focus on secure communications or related technologies within the defense or public sector.
  • Proven track record of success in both hunting for new business and farming existing accounts in the defense industry.
  • In-depth understanding of the defense industry, government procurement processes, and regulatory

requirements.
