• Responsible for achieving timely and accurate statutory financial statements compliance for an assigned portfolio of APAC entities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist to plan and perform financial, compliance and operational audits to improve YCH risk management, internal controls, and governance within YCH Group of Companies.
• To assist on development and establish BCM program for the region to ensure YCH supply chain business continue to run in the event of a crisis.
• To assist for creating policies and robust framework around crisis management to safeguard YCH supply chain business.
• Maintain Enterprise Risk Management to ensure risk mitigation of YCH supply chain business.
• Understand YCH business operations and identify, evaluate and monitor associated risks within the supply chain industry.
• To assist on the development of programmes to foster and sustain effective risk culture within YCH Group.
• Be updated on developments and trends within the risk management industry to ensure growth and sustainability of YCH as a supply chain business.
• Ensure that areas of non-compliance are corrected by performing follow-up work on audit findings.

REQUIREMENTS

• Good diploma/ degree in Legal, Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration.
• Min. 1 year of internal experience related to Legal / Finance / Process.
• Ability to apply risk framework and standard in a pragmatic manner.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of internal controls, risk management and governance, auditing techniques and methodologies.
• Good interpersonal and analytical skills.

Work Scope (part-time 3-4 days per week)

• Book and file expense invoices according to cost centers.
• Support and liaise with US and SG accounting firms to ensure compliance and accuracy in books and monthly and annual consolidated management reports.
• Provide supporting documents for schedules and maintain accounting schedules.
• Manage depreciations.
• Amortize expenses.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
• Cash Management : Monitor bank accounts for account balance, offline payments and fixed deposits renewal.
• Quarterly GST filing.
• Accounts Payable : Booking of online payments and preparing fund transfer for offline payments.
• Prepare quarterly intercompany cost splits and manage fixed deposit investments.
• Work with the internal billing team for invoice related matters.
• Retrieve financial reports for management and investors, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
• Handle any other financial work as assigned by the Manager.
• Work scope will be expanded to take more responsibility if works full time.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Accounting.
• At least 3 years for Bachelor degree holders, or 5 years for diploma holders, of full set accounting experience, preferably in the cloud-based SaaS industry.
• Familiarity with the Singapore accounting standards, including deferred revenue accounting. Experience with the US accounting standards is of advantage.
• Proactive, clear and efficient communication in English (written and verbal).
• Tech savvy, familiar with Quickbooks Online, Gmail, G-Suite and Microsoft Excel. Preference is given for strong working knowledge in Microsoft Excel functions such as pivot table and vlookup.
• Quick learner for new tools and platforms. Experience with Chargebee, Stripe and Paypal is of advantage.
• Positive attitude, independent, meticulous, efficient and highly organized, can multi-task and take initiatives to improve and automate existing processes.

Responsibilities

● Lead team of accountants and overseeing and manage the financial statements and month end closing, ensuring completion of clients’ management accounts and financial statements.

● Lead and train the accounting team on record maintenance, filing best practices, inter-company accounting processes, and develop their problem-solving skills.

● Preparation of financial reports such as budgeting, and treasury for a portfolio of companies

● Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, i.e. GST, tax

● To assist with client and audit queries and matters where applicable

● Demonstrate exceptional ability to work effectively under pressure and solve problems independently and collaboratively.

● Proactively manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.

● Maybe seconded to client’s office whenever required.

What we're looking for:

● Degree in Accountancy or degree holder (major in Accountancy or Finance) and with 4 years of experience, preferably with experience in audit, handling consolidation, and being in reviewer roles.

● Familiar with Singapore/International Financial Reporting Standards, with strong accounting knowledge

● Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.

● Experience working as an Outsourcing Accountant will be value added.

● Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, ACRA, MOM, CPF, and relevant tax rules, procedures, and guidelines.

● Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP, IFRS).

● Experience with month-end closing, year-end audit processes, inter-company accounting, and a proven track record of solving accounting problems.

● Excellent leadership and communication skills.

● Ability to train and mentor junior team members.

● Proficiency in accounting softwares (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).

● Experience with GST (Goods and Services Tax) filing.
