Job Requirements :

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, or commercial roles.

- Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion.

Job Description:

• Provide day-to-day operational support in HR Admin functions.
• Assist in update and checking of staff and worker daily attendance report
• Assist in computation of workers’ payroll, as when necessary
• Assist in cost allocation report after payroll processing, as when necessary
• Assist in application of foreign worker levy waiver as when necessary
• Perform General HR administrative functions such as update worker personal particular details (passport, bank account no, work permit)
• Assist in register, update and cancel the staff and workers PCP records
• Maintaining uniforms inventory that includes stock taking

The Quantity Surveyor reports to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and assists in all costs and contractual issues in Main Contract as well as Sub-Contracts connected to the project.

• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in the preparation of progress payment claims, variation order claims and payments to subcontractors and suppliers including all final accounts;
• Involve in preparing regular cost reports including maintenance budget cost controls;
• Assist in maintaining good documentation of events at site for variation order / EOT claims;
• To work closely with the site storemen to ensure proper documentation of materials control;
• Be familiar with the specifications and scope of works at various stages of the project so as to be able to advise the structural, architectural and M&E coordinators on the contracted design requirements;
• Assist in the procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers of specified materials;
• Attend technical meetings to keep abreast of design development issues and provide cost escalation alerts;
• Learn and be adequately briefed on the contractual / legal rights of the Main Contractor in order to advise colleagues at site and the management on any choke points during the project.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities in buildings projects worth at least S$25 million.

JOB PURPOSE

To assist the Project Manager in design, project planning, construction and safety and quality management of projects and maintenance works to ensure smooth work progression and completion within target time and budget.

Responsibilities:

• To assist the Project Manager on project site work by focusing mainly on the aspects of construction, safety quality management, and project coordination of projects and maintenance works and to ensure smooth work progression and completion within target time and budget.
• Prepare method statements, design plans, and specifications.
• Liaise with the stakeholders (e.g. clients, authorities, consultants) on permits, drawings, and design matters.
• Develop projected milestone and operational plans for different phases of the project which includes scheduling, monitoring and reviewing of the work of others.
• Determine project requirements and estimate resources such as manpower, materials and equipment.
• Ensure that site works are executed accordingly based on approved detailed drawings, interpreted plans, and requirements of relevant authorities.
• Ensure project meets dateline/schedule, safety & quality standards of client’s requirements. Support contract administration and construction inspection by reviewing final plans, specifications, special conditions, and agreements.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Others), Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), or equivalent.
• At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Specializing in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Familiar with Civil, Archi & Steel Structural Works
• Experience in process plants handling both consultants with client will be added advantage
