Key Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking an individual with architectural technical experience for the position of Mechanical Project Engineer at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations.  The candidate will work directly with the Mechanical Project Manager and the subcontractors throughout the six-year design and construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).

Reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager, the candidate will be accountable for ensuring the work required such as submittals, RFI’s, coordination drawings, updating documents, etc are complete, ready and approved for Mechanical Subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents.  This role is focused on working with the Mechanical Project Manager who is managing the Mechanical Subcontractor field operations and installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.  

It is expected the candidate will be a very detail-oriented individual with previous experience working as an Mechanical Project Engineer on data center projects and or other complex technical projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands on” work coordinating approved design documents and ensuring installed work in the field are in compliance with such documents.  The candidate must have strong Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Reporting to the Electrical Construction Manager, the candidate will be accountable for insuring the work required such as submittals, RFI’s, coordination drawings, updating documents, etc are complete, ready and approved for Electrical Subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents.  This role is focused on working with the Electrical Construction Manager who is managing the Electrical Subcontractor field operations and installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.  

It is expected the candidate will be a very detailed individual with previous experience working as an Electrical Project Engineer on data center projects and or other complex technical projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands on” work coordinating approved design documents and insuring installed work in the field are in compliance with such documents.  The candidate must have strong Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability. 

Responsibilities Specific to the Role:

• Work intensively with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team to coordinate all the Electrical trade work with other trades.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, Electrical systems interrelationships, construction sequencing and project schedule.
• Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and CSA subcontractors during construction.
• Work closely with the Electrical Construction Manager to lead the electrical subcontractor installation drawing approval process between the electrical subcontractor, Resident Engineer, Resident Technical Officer, Accredited Checker, and the Local Authority having Jurisdiction, and Assist in the receipt and review of all electrical submittals.
• Log and post all electrical changes and as-built information on field drawings. Provide such information to VDC team so such information can be incorporated into the final virtual model.
• Ensure all information is current and communicated with Electrical/project team.
• Interface with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager for all client provided equipment.
• Liaison with the Electrical engineering consultant, supervisory engineers, Inspectors and relevant staff.
• Implement the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. cloud-based QA/QC program for the Electrical scope of work.
• Ensure that Electrical Subcontractors adheres to relevant Quality documentation/records.
• Assist in the testing and commissioning of electrical equipment.

Purpose:
To provide high quality service deliverables to the firm’s Real Estate (RE) Clients you are responsible for, ensuring all deliverables are met and the clients expectations are managed and met on a day to day basis.
This entails reviewing all Financial Statements and disclosures and ad-hoc client deliverables in relation to providing fund administration services to PE clients.
Expected to help improve the processes and efficiencies of the department.
Be subject matter expert of RE Fund Structures accounting and administration processes.

Core Responsibilities:

• Managing financial servicing for a portfolio of RE clients ensuring the smooth running of day to day relationship with clients and consistent delivery of client reporting/ information accurately and on time
• Be an ‘expert’ on designated clients including understanding technical details of their LPA, SLA, Fee Agreement and any technical nuances
• Minimise risk to IQ-EQ by ensuring all procedures and checklists are followed by all team members

Tasks / Duties:
Client Delivery

• Deliver timely quality service to the client to ensure all requests for designated clients are met, ensuring any client/investor queries are responded to within 24 hours
• Complete a review on designated client work (includes NAV, Financial Statements and other Ad Hoc Tasks) and assist on reviews for other teams as required
• Ensure that KPIs are developed, implemented and reported quarterly in accordance with agreed SLA’s
• Prepare quarter end timetable for all client work and manage quarter end process to ensure all deliverables adequately resourced and completed on time
• Maintain regular contact with client through weekly phone calls and emails detailing upcoming deliverables and progress thereof.
• Assist with new business take on where required.

Management of Workflow

• Work with Back Office on client deliverables to ensure adequate resources are allocated and fully utilised
• Ensure Back Office are preparing all work to a standard suitable for client review
• Provide constructive feedback to Back Office on a timely basis and ensure Back Office receive appropriate development support
• Plan workloads and utilise support team / additional resources where necessary to ensure deadlines are achieved
• Ensure reconciled cash balances are maintained for clients at all times.

IQ-EQ Fee Management

• Ensure our electronic time sheets are completed daily, and accurately for all hours worked and recording ad hoc work completed for billing purposes
• Systems
• Understand and use best practice on Investran (accounting platform)
• Understand and make best use of the functionality in our software when producing accounts
• Ensure client database is up to date and accurate in Investran (contact changes completed within 24 hours of receipt) and Outlook databases for client related changes

Risk

• Ensure relevant procedures and checklists are adhered to by staff to minimise risk of errors
• Report any breaches, complaints or errors to Compliance officer promptly
• Ensure all error reports are completed for review by the Senior Accountant on the day an error is identified

Other

• Undertake any additional reasonable requests as deemed by the firm
