• Process and analyze large genomic data from transcriptomic and genomic assays including single-cell RNAseq, spatial transcriptomics, and other sequencing technologies (e.g. long reads)
• Co-develop algorithms and pipelines for single-cell genomics and spatial transcriptomics

General capabilities

• Maintain detailed experimental records and contribute to scientific discussions and reports (internally)
• Work collaboratively with other members of the team to develop and implement research strategies

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, computer sciences, bioinformatics, or a related field
• For wet candidates: strong experience with molecular biology techniques, including (clinical) sample handling, PCR optimization, tissue culture, RNA isolation, and sequencing library preparation. Experience with microscopy, image analysis, and statistical analysis would be advantageous
• For dry candidates: Deep experience in single-cell genomics and/or spatial transcriptomics. Proficient in data analysis tools such as R, Python, familiar with analytical tools and algorithms. Comfortable with large data handling and processing.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members

Function as primary support to the Talent Development & Quality team in maintaining the quality management system and learning programs to maximise guest experience and operating efficiency throughout the Hotels' operations. 1. Deliver a comprehensive program (based on AEP or ILT Centre programs) to develop essential life skills, functional skills, and vocational skills to promote independence of the adult beneficiaries in DSA’s centre based adult programs.

2. Conduct appropriate modes of assessment to monitor beneficiaries’ progress by providing feedback, progress reports and implementing suitable instructional supports to close gaps.

3. Plan and prepare the Individualised Training Plan (ITP) with the Head/Team (Adult Education Services) and other relevant professionals through meetings with caregivers.

4. Monitor ITP to ensure the client is achieving the educational, community, vocational and behavioural goals as scheduled.

5. Implement community referenced training to ensure that the client achieves the community goals as planned.

6. Support and assist in training for employment opportunities.

• Provide administrative support on students clinical placements, funding, evaluation and audit matters
• Support in pre-employment clinical training matters such as orientation, rosters/timetable, collation of students' feedback, appointments of clinical educators, preparation and running of exams etc.
• Ensure all necessary evaluation takes place & submit in a timely manner

Executive / Senior Executive (Clinical Research Officer) for the Health Screening Centre

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is looking for Executive / Senior Executive (Clinical Research Officer) who is self-motivated, proactive in problem solving and a strong team player. The candidate will be part of the Health for Life in Singapore (HELIOS) Study team, a flagship Singapore population health study jointly conducted by LKCMedicine, National Healthcare Group and Imperial College of London. We aim to profile the health and behavior of up to 10,000 people from the general Singapore population over the next few years. We are conducting (1) surveys on health, lifestyle and dietary habits, (2) physical and functional measurements (e.g. anthropometry, strength, exercise test, spirometry, ECG, optical imaging and pulse wave velocity) and (3) biomarkers for chronic diseases.

The candidate will play a key role mainly in, but not limited to, the following roles:

• Take participants’ informed consent for study, verify eligibility and systematically performing drug and supplement verification.

• Assist in collection of biological samples for research.

• Assist in conducting health and lifestyle questionnaire, dietary and/or cognitive assessment.

• Perform physiological assessment according to Standard Operating Procedures and record measurements. These physiological assessments include body composition, lung, eye, skin and heart function using sophisticated medical devices (training will be provided)

Candidates should have:

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is looking for a full-time Executive/ Senior Executive, Clinical Research Officer (Biobanking) for the Health for Life in Singapore (HELIOS) Study. This study is undertaken jointly by LKCMedicine, National Healthcare Group and Imperial College of London (www.healthforlife.sg). It aims to profile the health and behaviour of people from the general Singapore population. The scope of the study is segmented into (1) surveys on health, lifestyle and dietary habits, (2) physical and functional measurements (e.g. anthropometry, grip strength, exercise test, spirometry, ECG, optical imaging and pulse wave velocity) and (3) investigating biomarkers for chronic diseases. We have just received funding for Phase 2 of the study and are expanding our biobanking team to allow the study to reach out to more people.

The Clinical Research Officer will play a key role in supporting the study, mainly in, but not limited to, the following roles:

• Receive and process biological samples for banking purposes; with accuracy and in a timely manner without compromising sample quality.

• Assist in frozen sample retrieval and sorting.

• Perform nucleic acid (DNA and RNA) extraction and quantification.

• Perform daily routine measurements on analytical systems.

• Monitor quality standards by verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance, running daily quality controls and calibrations.

• Perform general administrative work such as tracking the supply of daily consumables and coordinate with vendors/suppliers on procurement matters.

• Able to commit to rotating shifts; afternoon shifts on weekdays, and on Saturdays.

Training will be provided to level the skillsets needed to perform these roles.
