We are seeking a talented and collaborative post-doctoral researcher to work in the broad scope of host-pathogen interactions and infectious diseases. The lab has various funded projects on the comparison of host-alphavirus interactions at the immune response level in vivo in animal models through a novel viral-centric and multiOmic approach. Other projects include immune response evaluation of vaccine adjuvant candidates, development of cell-based reporter systems of viral infections to facilitate and accelerate antiviral studies, as well as development of novel vaccine strategies.

We are seeking a talented and ambitious candidate to join our team in developing next-generation quantum sensors. The project focuses on creating a mesoscopic-scale "artificial atom" through superconducting levitation of a ferromagnetic particle. This levitated, freely precessing particle represents a system of correlated spins, capable of rapidly averaging quantum uncertainty. By leveraging this system, we aim to develop quantum sensors with sensitivities surpassing the standard quantum limits.

A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*IDL) is seeking for a Research Scientist to join us in our mission to to be a leading centre for infectious diseases research excellence in antimicrobial resistance, respiratory and vector-borne diseases. A*ID Labs brings together infectious diseases expertise from across multiple disciplines to drive cutting edge translational infectious diseases research to contribute to Singapore’s national preparedness.

You will be joining the Mucosal Infection Lab. The lab focuses on modelling mucosal infection using in vitro and in vivo systems with priority antimicrobial resistance (AMR) bacteria to understand disease pathogenesis. Specifically, the projects will involve dissecting the mechanisms in the gut-liver axis during bacterial induced pyrogenic liver abscess. Candidates with prior experience working with liver diseases and single-cell RNAseq are preferred.

Prepare and use a varied choice of appropriate instructional aids and ICT to cater to the different levels of learning abilities in students. Set ISC class tests and theory examination papers.
5. Conduct On-the-Job Training (OJT) at authentic worksites:Work with Job Coaches to support our students to meet the passing criteria. Work with partners to evaluate students’ performance based on ITE’s task list and assessment.
6. Monitor students’ progress, achievements and participation in school activities through appropriate documentation and record-keeping.
7. Implement interventional strategies with Form Teachers, Allied Health Professionals and parents to support students with specific learning difficulties.
8. Guide and equip students with work-readiness skills.
9. Adopt a positive approach to manage class discipline.
10. Collaborate with other trainers and teachers to develop the vocational training curriculum for the programmes catering to younger students, to support the development of pre-requisite technical skills.
