The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) of NTU is an exciting environment for research. Our approach is highly interdisciplinary, using emerging state-of-the-art methods from mathematics, physics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, topological data analysis, and statistics. Understanding the structure-function relationships of biomolecules is an active area of research due to its fundamental importance in biology, physics, and engineering. The Research Fellow will be involved in research design, data analysis, model development, numerical simulations, and report/paper writing.

The Research Fellow is expected to perform state of the art numerical simulations using computing resources from National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Singapore. The incumbent has freedom to design the nature and type of deep learning simulations.

Key Responsibilities:

The role of Research Fellow is to develop catalysts that will allow to reduce catalyst cost and increase carbon nanotubes yield to make the process more economically viable.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be undertaking full research work and administrative duties during the term of employment within the following areas:

We are looking for a Research Fellow to work on design and flexible electronics. The role will focus on Investigate new functional materials and material composites for sensors, electrodes, substrate, and develop strain sensor array with lightweight in large scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the conduct of research project with research team members to ensure completion of deliverables
• Designed, develop and fabrication flexible sensor array, integrate biosensors into hybrid electronic devices, advancing wearable device functionality.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholder on Hybrid-Integrated Next-Generation μ-Electronics
• Assist in grant writing.
• Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers.
• Assist or produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings
• Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences .
• Contribute to the mentoring and guidance of junior researchers and students, fostering an environment of learning and innovation within the project team.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related field
• At least 4 years of relevant experiences in flexible electronics
• Expertise in flexible electronics, mechanical sensors, strain sensors, tactile sensors.
• Proficiency in mechanical testing, electrical testing, materials characterization, system integration
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Capable of design and assemble of device prototypes.
• Candidates with publications in top-tier scientific journals are preferred.

School Programme Manager

About the Role:

Are you passionate about gymnastics and coaching? Do you have strong organisational skills and a knack for creating a positive, supportive environment for both recreational and competitive athletes? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Programme Manager & Gymnastics Coach to manage and deliver high-quality gymnastics services, both recreational and competitive, within the Schools programme based in Singapore. Working closely with the School Director and Recreational Manager, this role will ensure the growth and development of gymnasts at all levels while maintaining a focus on safety, communication, and the ongoing success of the program.

Key Responsibilities:

Coaching:

• Deliver engaging, high-quality coaching sessions for both recreational and competitive gymnasts, tailored to the age and ability of each group.
• Ensure that all coaching activities adhere to the relevant policies, procedures, and codes of practice, with a strong focus on safety.
• Maintain a high standard of safeguarding, equality, and health & safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with participants, coaches, and parents to foster a supportive and collaborative environment.
• Coach during weekends, school holidays, and camps, ensuring availability for all required sessions.

Programme Management:

• Develop, manage, and promote all gymnastics programmes at AIS, ensuring they are efficient, financially sustainable, and meet the needs of all participants.
• Develop and maintain good professional relationships with the School Director of Sport and the rest of their team.
• Oversee all recreational and competitive gymnasts at the school, ensuring steady growth and progression.
• Manage communications for competitions, including entry, travel, organisation on the day, and award announcements, ensuring deadlines and school policies are adhered to.
• Supervise and support all coaches delivering gymnastics sessions, ensuring they have clear lesson plans and appropriate guidance.
• Organise and promote MAG and WAG competitive squads and camps during school holidays.
• Plan and organise termly open days/evenings to showcase the skills of competitive gymnasts to parents and the school community.

Administrative Duties:

• Monitor and manage payments, ensuring all participants are up to date with fees.
• Assist the School Director in coordinating cover for coaching sessions, ensuring that all lessons are well-planned and that safety protocols are followed.
• Contribute to newsletters, showcasing gymnast achievements and promoting the programme to parents and the wider school community.
• Provide timely feedback on the development of gymnasts to parents and relevant school staff.

Who We're Looking For:

• A qualified gymnastics coach with experience of coaching recreational gymnasts ( experience of competitive is desirable but not essential
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with gymnasts, parents, coaches, and school staff.
• A passion for developing young athletes and a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, school holidays, and camps.
• Experience in programme management and event coordination is desirable.
