Job Description

· Lead, coach and develop the precision engineering team to build a high performing and motivated team.

· Provide technical guidance and support in the design and development of medical device system and precision components.

· Develop initiatives to enhance productivity, quality/yield improvements and cost reduction.

· Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes and workflows.

· Implement best practices, advanced manufacturing techniques and methodologies. Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.

· Overseas machining projects, process and tool selection.

· Lead in equipment qualification and process validationand engineering change.

· Work closely with NPI, Quality, Supply Chain on RFQ, First Article approval and part qualification. Liaise with customer on new part development activities.

· Implement and maintain good quality processes.

· Ensure compliance with medical device industry standards and regulations.

· Coordinate with other departments to align project goals and requirements.

· Manage resources and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.

· Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including board members, clients, and team members.

· Develop and manage the department's budget.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

· Minimum 10 years’ of relevant Precision Engineering working experience.

· Good knowledge in milling tooling and machining process.

· Experienced in medical device industry is preferred.

· Strong knowledge of precision machining, metrology, and CAD/CAM software

· Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and other precision engineering standard

What you'll do:

As a Solutions Engineering you will leverage a deep understanding of the Geotab product suite from a technical perspective in order to identify and build solutions best suited for unique customer needs. A critical part of this position is to assist the Geotab Sales Teams in pre-sales opportunities and pilots.

What you'll bring to the role

• Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Fluency in both Thai and English (written and spoken) is a requirement.
• +5 years of experience in similar roles (Solutions Engineering, Presales, Sales Engineer)
• Strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements.
• An understanding of the regulations in place for transportation services (e.g. OBD, SAE vehicle standards).
• Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of vehicle circuitry and CAN communication will be highly valuable.
• Understanding of serial data interfaces and communication.
• Technical experience using SQL, C#, JavaScript or Google BigQuery preferred.
• Knowledge of programming logic and understanding.
• Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Strong verbal communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.
• Strong written communication skills, able to document technology solutions in precise detail, while also being able to summarize it succinctly.
• Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve well-judged decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain current on EV charging and related developments in the industry
• Advise on emerging trends (e.g. battery swapping, etc.) and how it can shift operation strategy
• Provide recommendations to developing mitigation measures (e.g. dynamic electrical load measuring and management, etc.) for implementation
• Support and provide site assessment of potential costs to upgrade electrical infrastructure to support EV charger deployment
• Develop tender specifications and requirements for electrical infrastructure upgrade
• Provide specialist advice on potential electrical-related issues in the infrastructure upgrade proposal and recommend solutions to optimize upgrade projects on cost and time
• Maintain compensation and performance management systems to retain quality manpower and exit poor performers
