• As a Platform Engineer, your role is to design, develop, and maintain distributed applications using the Oracle Tuxedo middleware platform and other technologies.
• Designing and developing distributed applications using Oracle Tuxedo middleware platform.

Job Description:

• To digitize forms using ServiceNow CreateNow Development Suite.
• Provide requirements elicitation and scope clarification with the business users.
• Subject matter expert and consultant for ServiceNow forms, business process flow development and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with the application delivery team in relation to the integration and improvement of digitization forms used by business.
• Updated on new ServiceNow features like flow designer, integration hub, RPA.

Job Description

• Prepare and review Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) Works specifications.
• Assist the ICA Lead and manage the engineering design works for the Control System Architecture, Data Communication Networks, Functional Design Specification (FDS), Process Control Narrative (PCN) and Process Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Programmable Logic Controller / Distributed Control System (PLC/DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and any other ICA Works as required.
• Handle equipment package and procurement including technical specifications preparation, technical clarification, technical bid analysis, etc.
• Collaboration with multiple stakeholders including internal teams of different trades, clients, consultants, other packages contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to ensure success of the project.
• Prepare, review and liaison with subcontractor(s) in the design and submission, ensuring all project specifications and design standards are met.
• Work with cross function project team to support project activities, i.e. schedule, process, progress claims, work progress, etc.

A day in the life of an engineer at site

• Contributing technical expertise to project drawings/designs/operating parameter and overseeing construction engineering processes
• Plan detailed instructions (with updated engineering drawings) on daily project activities, and monitor progress to ensure activities are executed as per project specifications.
• Assist in project cost control in line with the project budget (e.g. ensuring value-based procurement practices, optimum machine utilisation and usage of spares and scrap process compliance)
• Understand the geotechnical aspects of the project e.g. Soil Condition, CPT etc, so as to identify risk to project and to take steps to mitigate.
• Ensure all project documentation (progress reports, progress claims, daily reports, site diary, QA/QC report etc.) are submitted and follow up to ensure collection of approved documents in a timely manner.
• Performing cost calculations and preparing financial projections, to submit accurate Project Finance Reports and work related reports in a timely fashion.
• Responsible to implement global QA/QC program and initiatives to ensure the QA/QC compliance in execution of projects. .

A day in the life of a design engineer

Design support for tenders:

• Review and summarize soil condition reports, tender specifications and requirements.
• Identify and summarise geotechnical problems and technical risk.
• Analyse geotechnical problems and draft technical proposal.

Design-related coordination work for ongoing projects:

• Perform analysis and design in accordance with current legislation, standards and codes of practice
• Prepare detailed construction drawings with the assistance of draughtsperson.
• Conduct regular site visits to integrate design concept and actual ground conditions.
• Quality Control (QC) review and verification between design assumptions and actual site conditions.
• Carry out geotechnical analysis and design using tools such as Slope/W and Plaxis as well as Keller’s in-house software.
• Conduct back analysis and research for future improvements based on actual performance and as-built data.
• Prepare technical proposal for remedial work during construction when required.
• Liaise with clients/consultants/ sub-contractors on technical related issues.

You will need:

• A professional degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• Experience in ground improvement will be advantageous (fresh gradudates are welcome to apply)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), AutoCAD, Plaxis 2D and Plaxis 3D
• A valid Supervise Construction Work for WSH certificate (preferable)
