We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join our multidisciplinary team working on the development of novel synthetic and bio-based polymers and composite materials for environmental sustainability applications. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of the research team under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) to work on:

• Developing materials and technologies for resource recovery from seawater desalination processes.
• Conducting research and experiments for materials synthesis, fabrication, testing and characterization.
• Writing and preparing progress reports, manuscripts, and proposals related to the propjets.
• Assisting the PI in guiding junior researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
• Assisting the PI in managing projects and laboratories and other ad hoc tasks that may be assigned.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in Materials, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or any other related field, obtained from a reputable university.
• Two or more years of postdoctoral working experience as an independent researcher showing evidence of excellent research accomplishments and student supervision.

• Strong background in biomass and biobased polymers, hydrogels, and composite resins for adsorption and separation of metal ions.
