We are currently recruiting for experienced Senior Engineer – Mechanical / Environmental Sustainability to join our Building Services team in Singapore.

You will be joining our Centre of Excellence (CenEx) team, led by one of our Technical Director who was recently conferred the SGBC-BCA Professional Leadership in Sustainability Award.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Leading mechanical services design and environmental sustainability design for building projects.
• Assume responsibility and undertake engineering tasks of increasing scope and complexity.
• Carry out site condition assessment, feasibility studies, energy audits and technical due diligence.
• Responsible for analysis of information, production of design, tenders, proposals and technical report writing.
• Assist in coordination of quality assurance and commissioning of designs with other disciplines and other design consultants.
• In charge of jobs control, planning, monitoring, progress and job cost reporting.
• Communicate effectively with the client, sub-consultants, contractors, and other parties relevant to the job.
• Assist in assessment and review of designs prepared by others on behalf of the clients.
• Liaise with authorities on plans submission and compliance.

Pre-Requisites

• Degree in a Mechanical Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant working experience in the design & supervision of building service projects and Fire Protection.
• Experience in leading roles for design & design management of residential, commercial, institutional or hotel projects will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
• Understanding of energy efficient mechanical systems and equipment with Green Building design experience and knowledge of Green Mark/ LEED is an added advantage.
• Competent user of relevant engineering software and simulation tools.
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English.
• Able to work independently & exercise initiative.
• Excellent delegation and communication skills, which sees you enlist the help of others to meet objectives

Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating and scheduling training programs, workshops, and seminars for employees.
• Track employee training records, ensuring that mandatory training is completed on time.
• Assist with administering and manage the company's insurance policies, acting as the primary point of contact for all insurance-related matters, including employee and corporate coverage.

A PI Automation Systems Engineer will work directly with customers to define functional requirements and design, configure and implement control systems, software programs, electronic circuitry or packing for products or systems.

Description of work:

• Work in team environment with engineers and designers from RoviSys, partners and clients to provide state of the art Control System to improve efficiency, product quality and profitability of process manufacturing.
• Design Electrical panels, Control Architecture and wiring drawings.
• Develop and build solutions using different industrial applications.
• Development of P&ID documentation for process clients.
• Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC)/Ladder design, distributed control system (DCS) configuration to meet client needs.
• Execute and lead services such as systems upgrades, system support and routine maintenance.
• Implementation of industrial application based on solution architect and technical lead’s design.
• Testing and on-site commissioning of control systems.
• Support of process control clients at sites in Singapore and aboard.
• May grow into position leading team of engineers and technicians to provide control system solutions for clients.

Control Systems Knowledge:

• Electrical design and Process Control fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Controllers, such as single loop control, PLC, DCS, DDC or PC based control.
• Exposure to Control Theory and some process understanding is helpful but not required.
• Platform knowledge in OSIsoft PI Historian platform is a must. Additional experience in Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Emerson DeltaV, etc will be advantageous.

• Ensure the machine is working correctly, and calibrating the machine to ensure proper measuring.
• Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection as per customer requirement.
• Maintain calibration record of measuring equipment.
