• Monitor and report on customer account status
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
• Provide support and assistance to other members of the finance team as needed
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and automate accounts receivable processes
• Act as a liaison between the company and its customers to ensure timely payment and address inquiries or concerns.

Requirements:

• Qualified candidates must hold a tertiary-level diploma in any field and demonstrate a keen interest in finance, particularly in engaging with clients to facilitate timely payment collection.
• This role is suited for individuals who are not only academically prepared but also possess strong communication skills and a proactive approach to managing accounts receivable
• Proficiency in using financial systems and software to submit invoices, record transactions, and manage accounts.
• Strong follow-up skills to ensure timely and accurate collections and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to resolve outstanding issues.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports.

Jobs Responsibilities

• Process payment for claims, commission, refund premium and reinsurance settlement including system input entries
• Petty Cash Handling
• Download daily bank statement, debit and credit advice from corporate banking platform
• Assist Manager in Cash Management and Treasury
• Update and monitor daily cash flow to ensure fund are sufficient for daily claims payment and operating expenses
• Bank Reconciliation
• Raise tax invoice and intercompany debit/credit note
• Maintain fixed assets register and prepare depreciation journal
• Monthly Expense Analysis Report
• Assist in year-end close, reporting, audit and others
• Any other tasks that may be assigned

The Finance Executive is responsible for performing non-trade AP function, partial GL and Treasury function. This role also works closely with Accountant to support month-end/year-end closing accounting duties.

Job Scope

1. Perform financial accounting

• Perform month-end closing duties

2. Process business transactions and reports

• Record and process business transactions in accordance with the company’s procedures and policies

3. Perform Statutory Reporting

• Assist in audit & tax requirements
• Quarterly GST reporting

4. Back up for Trade AP

• Assisting with Trade AP & Inventories/COGS

5. Treasury function

• Cashflow monitoring, cashbook updates
• Issuance of replacement cheques for outlets

6. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Pre-Requisites

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accounting
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in basic accounting work, AP with Treasury function and GST Reporting experience preferred
• Competent in MS Office (Excel, etc.)
• Ideally familiar with Netsuite
• Well-organized and meticulous
• Good communications and interpersonal skills
