Meranti Power Pte Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is establishing a multi-discipline project team and corporate team to facilitate and ensure timely implementation of power generating station projects and thereafter, operation and maintenance of the power generating station. We are inviting applicants for the position of Finance Executive who shall report to the Senior Manager (Finance). The scope and requirements are as follows:

Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation of full sets of accounts and day-to-day accounting functions, including invoicing, receipt updates, vendor invoice processing, payment arrangements, journal entries, inter-company transactions, balance sheet schedules, fixed assets registers, inventory balances, bank transactions, general ledger maintenance and proper filing of supporting documents.
• Perform month end closing and ensure all journals, AP, AR are closed promptly.
• Ensure that all accounting records are complete, kept up-to-date and maintained promptly and accurately
• Preparation and process payments to suppliers and stakeholders.
• Preparation of billing and collections are completely, accurately and timely recorded.
• Prepare GL supporting schedules, bank reconciliation and support preparation of cash flow projection.
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns to IRAS
• Liaise with external auditor, internal auditor and tax agent.
• Assist in financial reporting, audit processes, forecasting and budgeting exercises
• Support the drafting and implementation of new policies & procedures.
• Perform any other adhoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA certification will be advantageous.
• At least 5 years of relevant experiences.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess strong analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player and good business partner.
• Possess initiative and able to organise and prioritise work.
• Experience in SAP and Oracle Netsuite will be advantageous.
• Willing to work in construction site office during construction stage and Jurong Island. (Morning transportation pick-up points available at different parts of Singapore.)

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will report to the Vice President and will be responsible for:

· Portfolio management and Investor reporting

· Prepare presentations for investors and for internal analysis

· Oversight of Accounting, Audit, Statutory filings (MAS, IRAS, FATCA, CRS etc.)

· Oversight of GST-refund, 13R, FSI-FM related matters

· Responsible for annual/quarter/ad-hoc Investor reporting requests

· Managing Capital Calls and Distributions to investors

· Conducting market research on the relevant industry in which the Funds invest for the purposes of preparing the investor presentations

· Finance, Accounting and Control functions for the Funds by working with the appointed fund administrator

· Assisting with the annual business plans and cash flow models for the Funds and Investment Manager

Requirements

Ideal candidates will be qualified accounting professionals with:

· Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance.

· 6-7 years of relevant experience. Exposure to full spectrum of deal cycle (investments, asset management and exits)

· Fund Admin serving institutional investors (ideally fund size advised > USD 500Mn+)

· Handling F&A functions for JV platforms, club-structure investment platforms highly valued

· Proficiency in Excel, specifically in preparing well structure financial models

· Capability to prepare high quality presentations using PowerPoint

· Investor/Sponsor JV documents (Shareholders Agreement, Investment Management Agreement, Investment Advisory Agreement)

· Exposure to real estate sector in India would be advantageous

· Working knowledge of underwriting and valuation

· Reviewing, interpreting and providing strategic and regulatory inputs on the documentation

· Liaison with third party service providers (Fund Administrators, Audit Firms, Tax/regulatory etc.)
