Job Purpose

Reporting to the Finance Manager, FSS-AR & AP, you will manage a team of Senior Accounts Officers to provide support on all AR and AP matters for the assigned portfolio. You will also have an opportunity to participate in projects relating to process automation or process improvements.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

• Support the AR function and activities including invoicing receipting and refunds ensuring alignment with the Group’s internal policies and procedures

• Review monthly supplier reconciliations performed by the AP team and investigate discrepancies
• Partner with Procurement Office and Business Units to ensure vendor invoices are matched to goods receipt/services performed and payments are made within credit terms
• Perform review of quarterly GST reporting, submission and GST related clarifications
• Collate, review and respond to internal/ external audit queries

Qualifications & Work Experience

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent, with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.

Skills

Technical skills include:

• Strong working knowledge of SFRS(I)
• Prior experience in working with the SAP ERP system would be advantageous

Job Responsibilities

Cost Accounting and Inventory Management

• Responsible for accurate processing of month end journals (COGS and inventory related), perform accounts reconciliation, maintain and reconcile inventory ledgers, perform cost variances analysis and accruals including excess and obsolete (E&O) reserve analysis.
• Assist with preparation of month-end and quarter-end management reports (eg flux analysis).

• Work with business units on resources and capacity planning for manufacturing costs budget.
• Participate in the quarterly business review, perform cost variances analysis against forecast.
• Provide detailed cost reports and forecasts, identifying trends and proposing strategies to minimize cost variances

Others

• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.
• Assist with US GAAP, SOX, tax and statutory audits.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Daily and month end Cost Roll using in- house built Costing System
• Support Production to follow-up BOM, inventory and production usage and to resolve ad-hoc issues that will affect the accuracy of costing by products
• Perform physical stock -take during month end and prepare inventory aging listing
• Handles month end closing (check input data, run costing system, check output reports, long term inventory and generate journal vouchers)
• Review P&L impact and assist in balance sheet commentary.

Job Purpose

This is a Finance Business Partner (FBP) role to support growing business units in the local transportation landscape. You will lead a team of two to three reports to collaborate with various stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

1. Business Units’ (BU) Financial Reporting and Management:

Reporting to the Deputy Finance Manager, the Senior Finance Analyst will play a key role in the Finance team to deliver the full spectrum of professional finance, tax and compliance activities to Woh Hup (WH) Group of companies. 1. Coordinate trade finance activities including letter of credit, trade finance facilities, and other financial instrument

2. Liaise with banks and financial institutions to negotiate favourable terms on bank facilities for shipping and trade transactions

3. Monitor trade finance agreements to ensure compliance with terms and conditions

4. Negotiate and manage documentation related to trade finance transactions, including letters of credit, bills of exchange, and shipping documents

5. Conduct financial analysis to assess the profitability and financial viability of trade transactions

6. Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts related to shipping and trade finance activities

7. Analyse variances and trends to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements

8. Prepare and monitor treasury forecasts and timely reports cash position to CFO and management

9. Responsible for bank account management, including opening and closing bank accounts and connectivity on all blank platforms

10. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to international trade, finance, and shipping

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
• With previous experience in Finance and Accounting in Shipping or logistics industry.

The Finance Executive/Accountant will assist in providing financial and administrative support to colleagues and stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate must have a good knowledge for finance and accounting work, is meticulous and has a high level of numeracy as well as excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities:

· Accurately record all financial transactions

· Knowledge and experience in full set of bookkeeping including accounts payable and accounts receivable

· Preparing detailed general ledger, profit & loss and balance sheet statements

· Processing invoices, billing and following up of payments

· Performing bank reconciliation

· Assisting in preparing budgets and financial forecasts

· Participating in financial audits

· Assisting with the implementation of financial policies

· Any other accounting-related matters as needed

· Provide administrative assistance and coverage when required

· Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements:

· Diploma in Accountancy/Business/Finance and up to two (2) years of relevant working experience

· Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures

You can make your mark as Senior Finance Accountant by being the financial representative for Smit Shared services in Singapore and act as liaison to the FSSC in Abu Dhabi.

You will monitor and maintain the Business Units (Shared resources, OE & Dredging) policies, processes and procedures as per the company’s guidelines and applicable standards related to AP, AR and Banking.

Your responsibilities as Senior finance accountant

• Manages, supervises, and coaches the various finance team members assigned to the following functions:
  • AP
  • AR
  • Banking
• Assists the Finance Manager in investigating and resolving system or process issues as they arise, including liaising with Abu Dhabi office and HQ teams.
• Handles the full scope of GST works, including GST Group reporting and ACAP audits.
• Supports the Finance Manager in ad hoc tasks relating to the work scope of the Finance Shared Resources department.

Your qualities
You can make your mark as Senior finance accountant if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accountancy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Able to work independently with strong planning and organizing skill sets.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Ideal candidate should have 2 years of working experience in supervisory role.
• Good knowledge in GST regulation and experience in GST filing is preferred.
