The Job

The role requires the candidate to be able to face off Front Office relating to client documentation and/or KYC related matters. • Claim Verification and Processing: Review, verify, and process promotional claims submitted by partners, ensuring they meet the established terms, conditions, and timelines of promotional agreements.
• Documentation Review: Ensure all required documentation (e.g., receipts, purchase invoices) is submitted and correct, flagging any inconsistencies or missing information.
• Partner Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for partners, providing clear updates on claim status, resolving any issues, and educating partners on claim submission requirements.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with finance, marketing, and sales departments to ensure promotions are executed as intended and that claim processing follows contractual terms.
• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes in partnership claims, escalating issues when necessary to the Claims and Promotions Manager.
• Record Keeping and Audits: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all partner claims, ensuring they are easily accessible for audits and reporting.

• Requirements Analysis & Elicitation – Preparing Business requirements document.
• Responsible to identify and define detailed functional specifications based on the business requirements document or user stories.
• Analyse and propose the “to-be” business and operation processes based on the agreed requirements and / or function points, perform impact assessment and estimation.

What is it like being a Personal Financial Consultant at OCBC?

Job responsibilities

• You are expected to achieve targets set which involves calling of policyholders on a daily basis to initiate recovery;
• Engage and communicate with our policyholders to gather information and assist them in claim submission to third party;
• Use sound communication skills to successfully persuade and convince policyholders to proceed with the claims recovery process;
• Demonstrate and ensure standard operating procedures are met when handling outbound and inbound calls with policyholders and financial consultants;
• Ensuring proper tracking and documentation of call activities and outcomes;
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
• Any other ad-hoc assignments/projects assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree, insurance qualifications or equivalent experience preferably 1 year of insurance claims recovery and/or claim operations experience;
• Prior experience in customer service will be an added advantage
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time managment skills
• Good interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills required
• Knowledge of life insurance policy coverage, statues, regulations and subrogation processing is a plus
