Job Description:
Financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual IFRS- compliant financial reports centrally for various LGT Asia Pacific (APAC) legal entities on a standalone basis, as required by Group Accounting for consolidation purposes.
- Drive and centrally implement changes in Group Accounting policies and/or IFRS Accounting Standards, including the implementation of process and system changes as needed.
- Liaise with Head Office finance stakeholders on reporting submission, implementation of new requirements and address queries related to the submissions.
- Drive month-end closing processes (e.g. ensure proper accounting cut-off, reconciliation, balance sheet attestations etc)
- Ensure all necessary month end entries and provisions are made.
- Independently engage relevant stakeholders in the various areas of responsibilities.
- Enhance efficiency and effectiveness through pro-active measures to automate and enhance processes.
- Support local finance teams within APAC that required additional information for the preparation of Local Statutory Financial Statement and audits.
Others
- Participation in the UAT and testing of various Finance projects as well as system implementation.
- Support in Finance driven or regional projects and initiatives.
- Assist Team Lead in managing the team of 2 AP team members.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent
- 5-8 years of relevant banking or bank audit experience, preferably in regulatory or financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a strong working knowledge in report preparation, logical thinking, and data analysis.
- Comfortable working with systems. Knowledge in Avaloq and Hyperion Financial Management would be an added advantage.
