Purpose of the Role:

Client Management and Strategy

1. Market Risk Control Activities

• To prepare daily reports, reviewed by management, which highlight the utilization of various market risk limits by front office. The coverage shall include daily liquidity report, intra-day and end of day's position and profit/loss reports.

Your key responsibilities:

• Perform thorough investigations into potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes arising from enquiries/ intelligence from regulators/law enforcement agencies/external agencies; and referrals from Global FCIU and country AFC teams.
• Conduct intelligence assessments/reviews based on known typologies to proactively identify potential risk exposure to the Bank.
• Proficient with data collection, data cleansing, and data mining techniques to conduct an effective investigation.
• Conduct online and database research for adverse information screening and articles.
• Maintain complete audit trail and sufficient supporting documents for all investigations conducted.
• Prepare reports/memos presenting outcomes in a comprehensive and concise manner with recommendations for mitigating action by the country AFC teams.
• Identify current typologies and keep abreast of emerging ones with a view of applying these typologies to investigations/reviews.
• Coordinate and/or prepare the required management information reporting data for local, regional or global submission as applicable.
• Provide input on key initiatives and other ad hoc projects as needed.
• Manage complex and confidential investigations with minimal guidance/supervision.
• Involvement in FCIU-related technical and project work and user-acceptance tests.

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of working experience in a Financial Crime Intelligence or Investigations role within a regulatory or financial institution.
• Proven sound technical AML and investigations knowledge and skills with demonstrated hands on experience in potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and other related financial crimes.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with diverse banking products across business lines in Corporate and Investment Banking, Private Banking, Wealth Management and experience in working on AML monitoring and case management systems.
• Be the subject matter expert in AML/CTF typologies/trends.
• Working experience in data analytics-heavy projects using data analytic and visualisation tools such as MS Excel and the ability to consolidate data from multiple data sources.
• Have Relevant AML or related certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA Diploma, ACFE).
• Ability to work well within a team and managing stakeholders across diverse geographies with a professional business attitude in the workplace.
• Able to demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills with an investigative mindset while ensuring attention to detail and efficiency.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills as the role involves report writing.

Job Description:
1. Market Risk Control Activities

• To prepare daily reports, reviewed by management, which highlight the utilization of various market risk limits by front office. The coverage shall include daily liquidity report, intra-day and end of day's position and profit/loss reports.
• To reconcile data residing in the front and back systems on a daily and weekly basis.
• To check for off-market rate transactions on a daily basis.
• To provide various market rates required for daily revaluation in front, middle and back office systems.
• To be responsible for the proper maintenance of selective market database in OPICS and other relevant systems used by Middle Office.

2. Credit Risk Control Activities

• To provide administrative assistance to the respective front office units in all credit line applications to Head Office and to ensure that appropriate procedures are observed in all cases.
• To prepare a set of daily report which monitors the utilization of various credit lines allocated to each counterparty. This report shall include settlement risk limit and the various types of bank ceilings.
• To prepare a monthly report which monitors for adherence to the established industry limit policy of the Branch.
• To prepare a monthly report which summarises the performances of Credit Investment Department's activities.
• To prepare a monthly report which reconciles the Branch credit limits and exposures with Head Office and to investigate if there are any discrepancies.
• To ensure proper maintenance of selective credit database in OPICS and other relevant systems used by Middle Office.

3. Filing of Documents

• Maintain a neat and proper filing system that will enable easy retrieval of any required information.
• To ensure completeness of all documents filed and they are in accordance with the Branch's preferred filing policies and practices.
• To be accountable for the filing of all documents related to market and credit risk monitoring.

4. Other Duties

• To participate in ad-hoc project to enhance the risk management system and overall operational efficiency and effectiveness in the Branch.
• To report to immediate superior/manager of any exception that breaches the Bank's risk management policies.
• To undertake any other work-related duties, such as voice recorder maintenance, that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements:

• 1 year of working experience in a bank doing Credit/ Market Risk
• Minimum diploma-holder, in a relevant field, from a recognised and reputable institution.
• Must be proficient in all MS office applications.
• Working knowledge of VBA or other programming applications will be an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
