Job Purpose

As an ASCT you will support the swimming teacher during swimming lessons. You will help teach our Kindergarten and Primary School students to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water. You will lead sub-groups of the class. As a pool supervisor, you will supervise the lessons in the pool as an observer to ensure safe practice.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Duties as ASCT

· To deliver lessons, ensuring adherence to the values and vision of GESS

· To plan appropriate tasks for swimmers based on the objectives of the lesson

· Ensure all equipment and facilities are well maintained and correctly used at all times

· Ensure safety standards are followed in sessions

· To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children to participate in swimming
