1. Job Requirements

• Produce all items relating to the menu to the Executive Chef's standards.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene and health and safety
• Ensure all equipment failture and hazards are reported to the Executive Chef or another senior member of staff
• Ensure a strict control on food waste and reporting any food wastage in the correct procedure
• Ensure all portion controls are strictly adhered to.
• Ensure the highest standard of food production and presentation at all times as per standard of performance manual and recipes
• Ensure work surfaced, refridgeration, stores are cleaned and sanitised before end of shift
• Maintain a close professional working relationship with other members of staff at all times
• Produce recipes and costing in conjunction with the Executive Chef or another senior member of staff as required, assisting to maintain that monthly profit margins are met
• Participate in monthly physical stock take of the Restaurant. including but not limited to plates and utensils

• Ensure work surface, refrigeration, stores are cleaned and sanitised before end of shift
• Ensure the high standard of personal appearance at all times, including the wearing of the correct protective clothing as laid down in the codes of practices
• Ensure a close professional working relationship with other members of staff at all times
• Ensure the kitchen is secure, clean and safe before going off shift
• Produce recipes and costing in conjuction with the Head Chef as required, assisting to maintain that monthly profit margins are met.
• Attend all team briefs as required
• Participate in monthly physical stock take of the Restaurant, including but not limited to plates and utensils

• Minimum 3 years of relevent experience
• Possess good hygiene and personal grooming standards
• Able to work in a fast - paced enviroment
• Able to work split shifts

Brief description of the Restaurant

La Saigon is setup in 2018 to promote the goodness of Vietnamese food and coffee to the world. Our foods are prepared daily using fresh ingredient and premium produce. Traditional Vietnamese herbs and recipes are used to bring out the original taste of Vietnamese cuisine such as Pho, Banh Mi, Bun and Spring Roll. All our coffee beans are sourced directly from the volcanic highland of Vietnam and roasted locally in Singapore. Every cup is freshly grinded and brewed before we serve to customers.

Job Descriptions

• Assist head chef with food prep tasks like chopping, peeling, and marinating.
• Help with cooking simple dishes under the supervision of our head chef.
• Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly.
• Carry out kitchen inventory checks, and report shortages to the management.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Any other matters required by the head chef and management.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not necessary. Training will be provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations and health and safety regulations.
• Passion for food and the hospitality industry.
