About the Role
Our client is a Training Partner of an IMDA-appointed Training Partner Consortium formed to set up and operate a Programme Manager Office (PMO) to support the upskilling and reskilling of the ICT workforce.
To augment the manpower resources in the Academy, they are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join as Manager, Outreach and Placement Programmes (ICT Academy).
Reporting to Head, ICT Academy, the incumbent shall be responsible for outreach and administrative matters, ranging from organising meetings, reporting preparation, placement programme administration to company engagement.
This role is offered on a 2-year fixed term contract basis under the client's headcount.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Outreach Activities
• Initiate and conduct outreach activities, as well as manage both the relationship and implementation of organisations’ manpower re-deployment plans; organisations include MNCs, Large Local Enterprises (LLEs), SMEs, members of Trade Associations & Chambers (TACs) and Unions.
• Grow a strong network of organisations as key employers and industry partners.
Partnership
• Collaborate with relevant partners and government agencies to actively promote career opportunities and help PMETs in identifying personal goals, re-skilling and career planning.
• Collaborate with the various Institutions of Higher Learning, Training Providers and the Academic Units in providing suitable courses for the placement programmes, seeking government funding support and engaging in employer outreach activities for placement programmes.
Placement Administration
• Pursue job placement targets and ensure rapid, sustainable growth in all identified industry segments.
Publicity
• Work with the Marketing team in creating marketing materials and tools to conduct outreach activities.
• Market and generate awareness of the company's programmes and placement-oriented programmes to both organisations and individuals.
• Assist to promote re-employment programmes (e.g. CCP, SCTP) to organisations such as MNCs, Large Local Enterprises (LLEs), SMEs, members of Trade Associations & Chambers (TACs) and Unions.
Project Management
• Assist in managing Placement Programmes, such as Career Conversion Programmes (CCP) or similar type of initiatives, including project strategy design, outreach activities, stakeholder management, programme structures, systems development and project operations.
• Assist in driving implementation of organisations’ manpower re-deployment plans ; organisations include MNCs, Large Local Enterprises (LLEs), SMEs, members of Trade Associations & Chambers (TACs) and Unions.
• Conduct on-board activities for organisations and employees to the placement programmes.
• Track the outcomes of the placement programmes through reports and collection of success stories.
• Check programme milestones and disburse grants to companies.
Administration
• Assist in secretariat functions of the ICT Academy
• Generate and prepares reports for updates and decision-making
• Coordinate all administrative matters for the ICT Academy
• Liaise with HR, Finance and other corporate services representatives
• Maintain and upkeep databases related to the Academy
• Compile and analyse statistics for submission to Government agencies
Requirements:
Academic & Professional Certification
• At least a good bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a reputable university
• IT savvy and proficient in MS Office and Adobe applications
• Knowledge of Power BI would be an added advantage
Experience & Attributes
• At least 5 years’ relevant work experience
•Possess the following experience:
- B2B outreach experience
- Independent contributor, able to conduct stand-up presentation
- Preferably from the Technology sector
- Preferably understand ICT Skills Framework
- Preferably understand government-led manpower development initiatives like CCP and CLT.
• People-oriented with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Meticulous, self-driven, able to work independently and as a team
• Able to multi-task and manage requests effectively
