RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Medical Social Workers collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of stakeholders to regularly review individual residents' medical, nursing, therapy, and social aspects as part of delivering person-centric care. 1. JOB PURPOSE

Supervises care staff in ensuring comfort and good personal hygiene of patients under his/her care.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Facilitate professional, high standard international health assistance services pertaining to international travelers and expatriates overseas for International SOS (Intl.SOS) clients globally. As a key member of the Assistance Team, leverage medical experience and professional knowledge to provide appropriate solutions to Intl. SOS members.

Medical Healthcare Coordination (Assistance)

• Receive calls from various international locations relating to requests for medical assistance abroad and ascertain the assistance requirements of Intl.SOS clients.
• Facilitate the provision of assistance through referral to accredited medical and technical providers at various international patient locations abroad.
• Collect as appropriate medical and other relevant health information from international sources and collate updates for Intl.SOS clients.
• Professionally communicate verbally and/or in writing to relevant parties/clients at various international locations the progress of medical assistance cases.
• Provide guidance regarding the operational planning and progress of international medical assistance cases.
• Assist to maintain the Intl.SOS medical transportation standards in facilitating the logistical arrangements of international medical transportations to and from overseas locations.
• Escalate as per protocol to the Medical Director Singapore or in his/her absence; the duty Medical Director and Corporate Assistance Department (CAD).

Client Support & Promotion

• Participate, under the direction of the Medical Director and General Manager/Marketing Manager in appropriate business development activities, explaining and promoting Intl.SOS’ services to prospective and existing clients.
• Assist in explaining International SOS medical services to prospective and existing clients as requested.

Network Partnership Development

• Collate information and conduct intermittent review of international medical providers to enhance the Intl.SOS network of medical providers and provide this to the Network Partnership department.

Training & Health Education

• Participate under the direction of the Medical Director and General Manager of Country and in consultation with the Marketing Manager in performing for Clients and potential Clients:

Requirements:

1) Education and training: Spa massage therapists must complete 500 hours accredited massage therapy program from a Certified Massage Therapy Institution

2) License: Massage therapist or practitioner license is required

3) Certification: They require certification from National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork

4) Team player: They should be willingly to actively support group goals. They should be willing to show up on time ready to work wherever needed to get the job done

5) Knowledge: Spa massage therapist must possess a thorough knowledge of all body treatments and related application procedures, or trained in at least one of the following massage modalities, Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, acupressure, Shiatsu, Rolfing, etc. They should also possess strong knowledge of local and state licensing laws and regulations, as well as knowledge of massage therapy and its impact on health

6) Interpersonal skills: Therapists should be able to develop strong rapport with members of staff, as well as clients and first-time customers of the spa. It will help them build a referral base and possibly repeat customers

7) Customer service skills: They need the ability to build relationships, deliver positive customer experiences, and handle enquiries and complaints, including unruly customer behaviour

8) Apt to learn: They should be open to learning, seeking continuing education to build on their modality mastery and improve/update skills through training programs, some of which are available in the spar

9) Flexibility: Spa’s tend to have their peak periods during weekends and evenings; hence they must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holiday
