Procurement Officer

Work Location: Changi Naval Base

Working days: Alternate Saturday 5.5 days 8am to 5pm // 8am to 12pm

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a diploma, advance/higher/graduate diploma in Business studies/ Administration/Management or equivalent

Job scope

Handle Daily Purchasing operation including sourcing, quotation inquiry, negotiating pricing and expediting delivery schedule

Receive Purchase Requisition form from various departments and place order

Prepare and issuance of Purchase order

Track and trace Purchase order and delivery schedules and communicate the status updates to the relevant departments and storemans

Assist to establish and implement new inventory system

Monitor stock movement to ensure minimum inventory holdings using inventory system

Identify and evaluate new vendors on pricing, quality and level of service on a regular basis

Participate in full stock take

Able to maintain good relationship with current existing and new suppliers

Arrangement of drivers to collect deliveries ordered

Check and approve suppliers' invoices against Purchase Orders and delivery orders

Assist in answering calls and doing proper documentation of documents.

Trading Operation Executive

• Working Days: 5 days
• Working Timing: 9AM to 6PM
• Working Location: Tanjong Pagar
• Salary: $4,000 - $6,000

Responsibilities

• Keep an accurate understanding and correct application of commodity contracts and contractual obligations.
• Negotiate the contract terms with miners/external customers and get aligned internally to get contract signed.
• Plan and execute the shipment as per the commodity contract involving.
• Accurate interpretation of contract terms and execution of payments/receivables including Letter of credit (LC), DP/DA etc as per the contract.
• Assist the planning of cargo including the vessel nomination, shipping advice, insurance declaration, discharge port agent appointment, load/discharge operation.
• Management of the shipping documents and payment including ensuring accurate invoices/shipping documents issued by miners.
• Issue provisional/preliminary final/final invoices timely in accordance with the contractual terms.
• Settlement of AR/AP including the Laytime, freight differential etc.
• Maintain frequent and good relationship with customers, proactively foresee and highlight the opportunities and risk/exposure.
• Liaise with different departments including commercial, risk, finance, shipping etc, to resolve problems.
• Input improvements for the effectiveness/productivity of trade execution work process.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 year relevant experience in Trading Operations from Commodities Industry is preferred
• Bachelor degree or Diploma of International Trading, Maritime Mathematics, Statistics, Financial, Logistic, Business Management and Economics.

Shipping Clerk

Location: Loyang

Working Days: Mon - Fri, 5 days

Working Hours: 8.00 am to 5.48pm (Lunch 12.30pm to 1.30pm)

Responsibilities:

• Checking of customers PO, issue proforma invoices.
• Issue shipping orders (local as well as overseas), delivery orders, packing lists, invoices, export LC s’
• Issuing of CO, & etc if LC terms requires
• Liaising with forwarders for shipment and correspondence to customer if necessary
• Filing, achieving files if files are too bulky; maintenance of filing system.
• Answering phone calls, general administration & postage mailing
• Sales analysis reporting and other ad-hoc if requires by superior
• To backup department staff duty once department staff is on leave

Requirements:

• At least 1 year admin Experience, on job training provided
• Familiar with export shipping document will be an advantage
• Must support OT if requires
• Familiar with Microsoft Software
