Scope of Services

The Services required are set out as follows:

Science

 Prepare experimental setups for all lab activities and trial the
experiments and modify the experiments, when required, prior to the
Science curriculum/enrichment lessons and Science CCA.
 Prepare additional apparatus for teachers who wish to carry out
additional Science activities and be on hand to help out during
Science Workshops conducted by the school.
 Assist with the purchase of materials required for experiments for
both Science curriculum lessons/enrichment and Science CCA in
alignment with budget requirements.
 Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of the two Science Labs.
 Conduct stock-taking of all apparatus and resources belonging to the
Science department at least twice a year.
 Maintain a logbook for entry of classes into and out of the Science
labs.
 Maintain a logbook for entry of any broken/condemnation of
apparatus and chemicals for the Science labs.
 Preparation of the Outdoor and Indoor Hydroponics/Urban Farming
Facility for planting and harvesting followed by cleaning of the facility
in preparation for the next harvest.
 Monitoring of the Science Ecological Gardens and assist in
replacement of plants where required.
 Maintenance of the Laboratory Aquariums (which includes the
change of water and assist in replacement of plants and livestock
where required).

Makerspace
 Prepare materials and tools required for makerspace recess
activities and workshops
 Manage and maintain makerspace equipment, including 3D printers,
digital cutters and other tools.
 Provide technical support and assistance to makerspace users
regarding equipment operation and troubleshooting.
 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the
makerspace.

Others
 Support in miscellaneous administrative school matters required by
the HOD/LH Science/School Admin.
 May also be deployed to help other departments in the school or
school events/activities, should the need arise.

Qualification,Skill & Experience of the Contractor’s Personnel

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills
and experience:

 An ‘O’ Level qualification and basic knowledge of IT applications
(e.g. MS Word and Excel).
 Must be proficient in English.
 Able to multi-task and able to handle a fast paced environment.
 Preferably at least 3 years of working experience in a school
environment and have some basic knowledge of laboratory,

• Keep and maintain daily site record on progress of works, instructions given to Contractors, materials delivered to site, daily activities and weather conditions at site, number and visitors at site and any other significant information;
• Supervise and keep records of day works;
• Attend site/coordination meetings as directed;
• To carry site supervision and inspection of the works including any off-site manufacturing, precast concrete and structural steel fabrication as instructed by the Architect so as to ensure that works are constructed to required quality and accuracy;
• To monitor progress of the works on site and at any off-site manufacturing facilities and report delays immediately;
• To provide standing supervision as and when required by Contractors and/or directed by the Architect / SO;
• To maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done, including records of tests, inspections, status of work, safety, site diary, material and equipment on site, labour, dayworks, provisional quantities, etc;
• To check that Contractor executes preliminaries items;
• To check service routes and Contractor’s setting out and report any deviations to the Architect / SO;
• To verify reports and claims submitted by Contractors;
• To record all variations as instructed or approved by Architect / SO;
• To attend to Contractor’s queries and coordinate works of main Contractor and direct Contractors / Suppliers at site;
• To inspect and take over completed works;
• To undertake any other duties related to the project as and when instructed by the Architect / SO;
• Check drawings and documents and report discrepancies;
• Report on site safety, security and housekeeping;
• Compile BSL Quarterly Report.

Responsibilities during TOP

• Ensure cleaning up of site for inspection through the Main Contractor;
• Verify that all constructed works are in accordance with approved authorities drawings prior to any authorities inspection;
• Ensure compliance with widths of all escape routes, stairs, handrails and doors;
• Ensure compliance to handicapped requirements;
• Assist Consultants to organise formal inspections;
• Ensure that all comments / non-conformance by authority departments are replied too and rectified within two weeks of Written Direction.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of site experience in the supervision of residential/mixed development;
• Must be accredited with the IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC);
• Prior experience in precast construction;
• Able to work overtime when required by schedule.

Job Description:

• Assist Resident Engineer in daily close supervision and coordination duties
• Inspect and supervise Contractors’ works and tests to Approved Drawings and Specifications
• Participate in construction interface meeting for Instrumentation, Building Services (ELV) systems
• Checking BIM Model and interface with C&S team for the completeness of site clearance for Instrumentation construction activities
• Review of design deliverables for Instrumentation, Building Services (ELV) and release of IRF’s to contractor as per RE’s instructions
• Update of Daily Site Reports (DSR), maintain quality records of all works, monitor and report on work progress
• Responsible for the consistency of quality assurance inspections and testing for works
• Implement quality assurance plan in a well-coordinated manner
• Coordinate with Contractors on execution of works
• Participate in FAT activities and punch list follow up
• Participate in SAT, Commissioning of Instrumentation, Building services (ELV) activities till the final handover of the project

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering
• Registered as Resident Technical Officer with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore / Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance inspections on large infrastructure project or waste/water management projects in Singapore, particularly Instrumentation, Control, Automation and Building Services (ELV) systems
