PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The Technical Support Engineer will provide expert technical assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for power generation and water treatment systems. This role involves collaborating with operations and maintenance to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of equipment by addressing technical issues promptly, and providing solutions to enhance system performance.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical support with domain expertise (MECHANICAL/ ELECTRICAL / CONTROLS / PROCESS) to existing Plant O&M team to resolve issues that arise in the plant requiring expertise beyond the plant level and liaising with the OEMs / Vendors for problem solving.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis teams to support investigations and reviews into plant incidents (MECHANICAL/ ELECTRICAL / CONTROLS / PROCESS) and create the solutions, contingency plans, interim containment actions and permanent resolution of the cause across the entire utility fleet including training requirements, engineering design reviews, sharing of best practices and lessons learnt. • Lead the Asset Life Management Planning process to evaluate residual life of the assets taking into account obsolescence matters, conversions, modifications & upgrades required to benchmark the asset to world standards.
