Infrastructure Engineer, Network
• Work in high impact projects, prioritizes and assigns tasks to ensure that team's resource are used effectively and infrastructure projects are implemented in accordance with plans and budgets.
• Analyzes, monitors network performance and resolution of technical problems.
• Oversee the technical analysis of complex software, hardware and infrastructure equipment for integrated infrastructure operations
• Involve in identification and resolution of highly complex network issues that may require establishment of new techniques, tools and processes.
• Review documentation and improve processes administration, installation, configuration and troubleshooting
• Organise system activities including planned maintenance events, system backup processes and disaster recovery drills
• Participate in initiatives to improve the infrastructure systems and service delivery through automation and virtualisation technologies
• Proactively analyze internal/external business challenges/regulatory issues and recommends improvements.
The ideal candidate should possess:
• Diploma/ Degree in IT-related discipline
• Able to clear up to Cat 1/Cat2a.
• Standby will be needed, average frequency of 1 week per month.
• Certifications such as CCNP/ CCIP/CCSP/ CCIE/ JNCA /ITILV3 and other relevant IT industry certificates will be preferred.
• Min 1-2 years of hands-on experiences in implementing and/or administrating network devices such as Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wireless Controllers, and Wireless Access Points.
• Experienced in implementing and administrating network routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP & network Security, IPv6.
• Experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, TFTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
• Experienced in Administration and troubleshooting in network environment.
• Experienced in firewalls/IPS/IDS/Proxy/Monitoring tools
• Exposure of protocol analysis tools used to troubleshoot layer 2 & 3 issues Technical Support for critical situations.
• Exposure with technologies such as IP Telephony, MPLS, QoS will be added advantage.
• Exposure with network equipment (Cisco Systems, Alcatel-Lucent, HP, Juniper Networks, Bluecoat, F5, Riverbed, Cisco Call Manager/ Unity/Nexus, Palo Alto, Checkpoint) etc will be added advantage.
• Able to work as a team member and independent and should be self-motivated and highly customer focused.
• Able to support enterprise networks
• Good understanding of Internet routing protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, OSFP, BGP, MPLS/VPN
• Knowledge of routers/switches architecture and software upgrade procedure
• Possess good analytical and trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification
• Possess good working knowledge in multiple vendor equipment like Cisco, Juniper, Huawei router.
• Candidates who are certified with the following: F5/Palo Alto firewall/Checkpoint firewall/Alcatel switch/Nexus will be considered first.
