Job Description & Requirements

• Perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under the Building Control Act, regardless whether their names are stated in the form,
• Check mock-ups done on site and off site, where necessary,
• Conduct inspection and check as required under Authority Operational and Safety requirements.
• Conduct compliance check on the implementation of mitigating measures in method statement, risk assessment and DfS register.
• Ensure that records of all civil and structural engineering works, mechanical and engineering works including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety, etc, are updated in a timely manner and properly kept,
• Maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done including records of tests, inspections, status of work, variation works, tests, inspections, work progress, safety, site diary, material on site and equipment on site, labour force, day works, provisional items or provisional quantities etc,

Job Requirements:-

• Minimum five (5) years of experience as RTO, of which at least two (2) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to the Works
• Diploma in Civil or Structural engineering from a recognized tertiary institution or relevant qualifications.
• Accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• Have a certificate in Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry or equivalent.
• Possess good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement backend services using Golang and other relevant technologies.
• Work with databases such as Cassandra, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and maintenance.
• Implement messaging solutions using NATS.io for reliable communication between microservices.
• Utilize in-memory caching systems like Redis for optimized data access.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Docker and Terraform.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance using Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus.
• Contribute to the development of scalable and robust cloud-based solutions on GCP.
• Write clear and concise API documentation and design APIs that adhere to best practices.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Golang or other strongly typed languages (C++, Java).

• Knowledge of parallelism, locking, synchronization, and race conditions in software development.
• Familiarity with caching mechanisms and cache invalidation strategies.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP or AWS.

Helpful Experience:

• Previous experience with Cassandra or other distributed databases.

Job Scope:

• Working with a back office development team, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of the software solution for a high volume and performance intensive back office of an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system
• Requirements gathering; · Design, development, and maintenance of the software
• Preparation and submission of deliverables throughout the software development lifecycles such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture Document, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Codes, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manual, Training Manual and others documents as required in the standard adopted by the Authority
• Assist the Authority with day-to-day application support issues
• Liaise with users on the requirement, design and testing issues.
• Gone through at least one full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with experience in producing SDLC documentations;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in analysing requirements, designing, development and delivering complex enterprise applications in Java/JEE, web programming on UNIX / LINUX and Windows environment
• Extensive experience in web based applications development (EJB, Servlets, javascript) and database application interfacing (JDBC, SQL) in Websphere Application Server and IBM DB2
