Job Description:

You will actively participate in identifying areas for improvement, implementing new processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Acts as the first-line problem solving reference point, addressing computer operations / batch operation issues as they occur and escalating problems – You will serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving computer operations issues, provide immediate support and escalate problems as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Supervise the development and implementation of new procedures to improve computer operations and efficiency – You will lead the development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the efficiency of computer operations while ensuring adherence to established procedures and standards.
Drive daily huddles with team members to review work assignments and project tasks, set priorities, and communicate issues – You will conduct daily huddles with team members to review ongoing work assignments and project tasks by setting priorities and provide clear guidance on expectations and deliverables
Regional collaboration for computer operations to determine current state and potential for synergistic operations – You will collaborate with regional teams to assess current service levels and identify areas for improvement by gathering feedback and requirements to enhance the quality and efficiency of computer operations.
Develop and enhance new/existing documentation and procedures for key activities and processes – You will develop comprehensive documentation and procedures for activities and contribute to the development of department-wide standards and policies.
Ensure batch operations checklists are maintained for operational status and problem history – You will provide oversight by maintaining and updating batch operations checklists to track operational status and ensure incoming shifts have a comprehensive understanding of operational history.
Coordinate the Data Center scheduled shutdown with all related business unit to ensure completeness of the activity – You will coordinate and plan the data centre scheduled shutdown activities by collaborating with all related business units to ensure a smooth and complete shutdown to minimize disruptions and ensure successful execution.
Qualification Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in data center operations, with a managerial or supervisory role is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of data center batch operations, computer systems, and networking technologies.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Experience in SQL and R/ Python (Or other tools for statistical analysis) and data visualization tools for statistical reporting is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in UI/UX design principles and methodologies.
- Experience in designing user-friendly interfaces and enhancing user experience.
- Ability to translate complex information into intuitive and visually appealing infographics.
Working Experience/Skills:
- Proven experience in driving automation and process improvement using Python.
- Hands-on experience with Python libraries and frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, or Django.
- Have a strong sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success.
- Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage issues that surface over the course of work quickly and efficiently.
- Be a team player with excellent consultative and communication skills, proven ability to work effectively with internal and external IT/non-IT stakeholders, vendors, and consultants.
- Knowledge and working experience with an understanding in data centre key operation functions, including enterprise reporting, enterprise scheduling, data centre operations and data centre facilities management, would be a plus.
