Assistant Regional Business Development Manager
Summary
· Our client is a fast growing international pet food group and is currently looking for an Assistant Regional Business Development Manager in their APAC office (Singapore).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Deliver sustained growth in key APAC markets by working closely with distributors to expand sales and market share in existing markets and/or channels
· Drive sales & marketing execution through market based distributors ensuring adherence to business plans and commercial targets
· Lead & coordinate internal & external stakeholders to identify & exploit new opportunities for growth, including new products, new channels or new markets, and develop new partners or route-to market in APAC with mutual interests
· Develop annual business and customer plans for relevant markets; lead distributors and internal marketing and operations team to deliver annual sales and profit targets
· Track market and industry trends to identify gaps in the marketplace, and develop network of industry contacts across key markets with potential to partner on new opportunities
· Manage direct key retail & Ecommerce account relationships to grow revenue/profit while ensuring best-in-class service levels, quality support etc.
· Build additional distribution and brand building capabilities in-house and/or via distributors
· Negotiate and optimize/establish agreements with overseas customers and distributors, including renewal and termination of existing contracts
· Weekly/ monthly reviews and planning with key customers including sales, marketing spend, product off take, marketing effectiveness, execution of promotions etc.
· Joint development and execution of marketing activities in line with brand strategy & standards
· Review & optimize value chain and trading term structures with new & existing partners
· Frequent travel to markets to oversee progress
REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline
· Minimum 2 years of sales / distributor management within APAC
· Experience in FMCG / Food products. Pet Food experience (and love of pets!) is a plus
· Experience with customer/key account joint business planning process

· General knowledge of the FMCG organizational processes included IBP, Category Management, Portfolio Management, Product Life Cycle Management, P&L
· Experience with business strategic review and planning tools & processes
· Experience with import/export regulations and operations, esp. for (pet) foods
· Experience with packaged foods quality management processes
