As a Product Specialist/ Lead, Deposits & Payments you'd be able to work on and solve many interesting challenges which we are facing, learn new ways of working, and help build delightful high-quality products for our customers during the exchange period (2 Sep 2024 to 22 Nov 2024).
Job Description
You will support the development and delivery of our key revenue generating product and service propositions, ensuring a cohesive overall proposition for our customers for all their payment needs. You are a digital native with a natural intuition for design and technology, coupled with a strategic mindset. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high degrees of ambiguity, get excited by solving complex problems and are happy to roll your sleeves up and get things done.
The Role Responsibility:
· Act as a product owner across all payments related product and services, to define and manage the product backlog, prioritising feature releases in line with the broader roadmap
· Support deposits business, core banking and retail payment strategies, deliver sustainable growth in revenue, balance and core banking customers
· Ensure relevant control measures are in place to minimize the risk exposure of the Bank as well as meeting all the internal standard, compliance, policies & regulation
· Execute business strategies to drive digital payment adoption and usage
· Collaborate with Operations, Engineering team and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality product and service proposition to customers
· Ensure vendors deliver premium services to support the attainment of our digital payment goals
· Be the voice of the customer in the definition of your product/service, and collaborate with other product owners to converge on a broader coherent proposition
· Provide insights into product, technology and market trends, pre-empting imminent disruptions and identifying opportunities for acceleration
· Work with UX and Service Design to gain an understanding of user personas, pain points and journeys
· Gather and manage product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing
· Facilitate the build and testing of operational processes, systems and reporting capabilities
· Collaborate with other Stream Leads, Design, Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance and Strategic Partnerships to define and track the MVP through a shared understanding what is desirable, viable and feasible

Our Ideal Candidate:
· 5 years’ experience, preferably product/service development in payments
· 5 years’ product ownership experience
· Strong understanding of mobile and web technologies
· A strong customer focus and a natural inclination to let empirical research define and inform product/service priorities
· Hands on experience with agile development methodologies
· An ability to think strategically and creatively
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication
