We are looking for an Accounts Executive to join our Finance team in Singapore.

About the role

You will report to the Senior Accountant and be responsible for:

• Raising contractor timesheets, sales, and self-bill invoices for our Asia entities
• Processing overhead invoices to the correct General Ledger accounts
• Maintaining and reconciling Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Processing bank payments for contractor payroll and overhead expenses
• Managing finance email inboxes and supplier communications
• Reconciling bank accounts across all agencies, including handling multi-currencies and FX variances
• Managing employee expenses and company credit cards
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Supporting the Finance team with various ad hoc projects

Experience required

Essential

• Proven bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable and receivable (1-3 years in a similar role)
• Experience handling multi-currency transactions
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities

• Experience with Navision Dynamics / Business Central

Your job scope surrounds but is not limited to:

• Assist in partial accounts
• Periodic reconciliation and updating of bank statements.
• Preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules.
• Handle petty cash and reconcile petty cash transactions.

Summary

Responsible for carrying out the day-to-day AR and AP function for the business headquartered in

Singapore.

Main Duties

AR

• Perform AR month end closing activities.
• Run monthly statements such as AR aging vs AR ledger to ensure completeness.
• Maintain accurate financial accounts and up to date billing system.
• Carry out collection of payment from customers, liaising with salesman to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
• Maintain accounts receivable files and records.
• Collaborate with the Accountant for any AR assistance required.

AP

• Perform AP month end closing activities.
• Run monthly statements such as AP aging vs AP ledger to ensure completeness.
• Processing monthly and adhoc invoices and reconcile AP schedules.
• Collaborate with procurement team on the issuance of the PO and contract.
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
• Ensure compliance with the PO, PR approval process.
• Update and maintain daily bank record on payment transactions.
• Prepare weekly cashflow report.
• Assist in prepare monthly bank reconciliations on payment transactions.
• Collate all AP invoices for AR intercompany billing.
• Collaborate with the Accountant for any AP assistance required.
• Review staff reimbursement and process payment run.

Adhoc Duties

• Preparing any reports required by Group Financial Controller/ Senior Accountant.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial, tax and government authorities where required
• Support Accountant in ensuring compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST) and audits.
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required

• Minimum 1-2 years’ of related experience in Accounting.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
• Self-motivated, driven and passionate about work.
• Hands-on person, able to work independently and also as part of a team.
