• Prepare quotations and proforma disbursements as required by clients, shipowners and shipping lines.
• Process all formalities and declarations in a timely manner to ensure smooth entry or departure of ships assigned.
• Propose workflow improvements to improve efficiency.
• Solve problems arising from the course of work.
• Supervise and guide Shipping Clerks (Documentation).

• Provide administrative support and manage daily library operations, including resource management, collection development, and budget oversight.
• Develop and implement library policies and SOPs, and generate reports on library usage and transactions.
• Oversee the Library System, ensuring accuracy in circulation, cataloguing, and online catalog access.
• Manage asset tracking, loan services, and inter-library loans, while handling enquiries with prompt responses (3 hours for simple, 1 day for reference, 3 days for research).
• Conduct in-depth research, monitor global trends, and provide research assistance.
• Publish regular bulletins, manage electronic resource reviews, and update the library’s resources.
• Perform stock-taking, weeding, shelving, binding, and tagging of library items, and ensure materials are processed and organized efficiently.
• Conduct information literacy programs, library tours, and support knowledge management initiatives.

Qualification:

Minimum Diploma.

At least ten (10) years of relevant experience working in libraries of similar capacity.

Certificate in Library and Information Management is preferred.

Working hours:

Mondays to Thursdays: 8.30am to 6.00pm

Fridays :8.30am to 5.30pm

The WSHE Officer is responsible for carrying out all the environmental, health and safety tasks to create and maintain a safe workplace and culture.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Discharge duties as relevant in the WSH Act, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health (Officers) Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act
• Implement and maintain proper procedures of WSHE management, administrative and recording system
• Regularly inspect facilities, machinery, equipment and dormitory to identify and mitigate risks.
• Checks and updates validity of operational licences & approvals and equipment certifications.
• Conduct routine compliance checks, risk assessments, investigate any workplace incidents and develop preventive measures.
• Prepares and submits investigation / inspection reports to document findings, recommendations and follow up on matters arising from these activities.
• Assist the WSHE committee chairman, act as secretary to the committee and provide guidance to the members in carrying out their safety duties
• Organise/ conduct WSHE briefing/ training to all employees.
• Promote safety awareness within all organizational tiers and among contractors, aimed at preventing workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Be prepared to stop work or to notify the Site Manager in the event of any WSHE deviations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education: Minimum Specialist Diploma in Safety, Health and Environment as stipulated in the Singapore Ministry of Manpower’s accepted WSH-related qualifications.
• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the Construction industry
• Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower

Training Certificates required:

• Certification in Lifting Supervisors Safety Course
• Certification in Supervision of Metal Scaffold Erection Course
• Certification in Confined Space Safety Assessor Course
• Certification in Manage Hazardous Substances
• Certification in Control Noise and Vibration
