MINDS has been caring for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and their families since 1962.
Grounded in the belief that all PWIDs have innate abilities and talents, MINDS is committed to empowering them and enhancing their quality of life, while advocating for greater inclusivity for PWIDs as a nation.
MINDS is today one of the largest charities in Singapore employing more than 850 staff. With the key focus to expand community-based services, improving the employability of PWIDS, strengthening education, and engendering inclusive community living, MINDS offers a holistic range of services and programmes across the PWIDs lifespan.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of Strategic and Integrated Communications to strengthen visibility, awareness and understanding of MINDS, and to spread the narrative of inclusion, empowerment and advocacy for PWIDs
- Manage publicity for corporate events, including writing press releases, updating media materials and on-site media management
- Manage media queries and requests, including drafting media statements and responses
- Cultivate good relationships with the media and influencers to build goodwill.
- Develop and execute public education initiatives to raise public awareness of MINDS mission and service offerings, house brand products, through events, presentations, tours, exhibitions etc
- Identify event and content partnership opportunities.
- Obtain stories from MINDS entities.
- Generate ideas to elevate the brand while providing assistance to entities to ensure compliance of branding guidelines
- Facilitate and/or review external partners requests for collaboration and publicity materials with mention of MINDS.
- Produce corporate publications including but not limited to corporate brochures, annual reports, newsletters and videos and ensure any necessary information is circulated to MINDS staff in a timely manner.
- Initiate and expand MINDS social media influence and engagement, through new channels, content creation, etc.
- Ensure MINDS social media platforms are maintained and maximised for engagement and storytelling, through development of social media content calendar, etc
- Manage social media analysis and measurement of outreach success/outcomes.
- Manage website content on WordPress, ensuring information relayed to the public is updated and accurate. Tasks including but not limited to creation of new pages, update existing pages/content, copy editing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Mass Communications/ New Media and Communications/ Marketing/ Public Relations/ Digital Marketing/ or relevant subjects.
OTHER INFORMATION
- At least 3 years of work experience in communications, marketing, social media, content creation
- Good grasp of written, editorial and oral communications
- Experience in and an eye for photography and graphic design
- Added advantage for those with knowledge/skill/experience in graphic design, video editing, media relations, corporate branding, digital marketing, WordPress, SEO
