Position reports to:

Senior Finance Manager (Singapore)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accounts, which includes but is not limited to:

· Accounting for expenses and payment of vendor invoices

· Ensuring healthy AP/AR aging

· Performing journal entries

· Preparing month end schedules and reconciliations

· Ensuring month end close is executed within established timelines

• Perform monthly variance analysis to identify irregularities, anomalies and areas of improvement.
• Communicate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders on accounting matters to ensure accuracy and timeliness of work.
• Participate in company and department initiatives to simplify processes, enhance internal controls, and increase efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Accounts Executive in a mid-sized organisation. Ship management experience is an advantage, but not essential.
• ACCA/Degree/Diploma in Accountancy
• Good working knowledge of Singapore and International Financial Reporting Standards
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP, or other mid-range accounting systems
• Independent, self-starter, strong in critical thinking, proactive, resourceful, team-player
• Good communication skills
