Business Need / Purpose of Role
Primary duties to oversee, plan and support the logistics team on daily transport related activities: freight clearances, deliveries/ pickups, First & Last mile for Ship spares in transit, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee, plan, and manage daily operations by organizing/ executing all transport related activities, which freight clearances- Airport/ Keppel Distripark, First/ Last mile for Marine Logistics and other local collections/ deliveries.
- Manage and supervise the driver’s performance to meet the organization’s expectation, by reviewing schedules and routings to ensure cost efficiency.
- Plan, allocate and deploy drivers/ vehicles and update the transport management system and checking of all inventories before delivery or when receipt in the warehouse.
- Solve operational problems encountered by drivers with clients and other related agencies by maintaining close interactions with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth day to day operations.
- Ensure full compliance with the ISS Management System (Health, Safety and Environment/ Quality compliance requirements)
- Any other duties within the scope and purpose of the job as requested by Line Manager and ensure full utilization of all ISS systems according to Standard Operating Procedures
Education and Qualifications
- Knowledge of local Logistics processes and understanding of Freight clearance, Spare parts delivery in Ports/ Shipyards/ Cruise terminals and documentation (DN, Customs Permits, etc.)
- Analytical skills and attention to details.
- MS Office/ Excel
- Strong time management skills (works well with deadlines)
- Strong Communication skills,
- Ability to work well with others
- Effective problem-solving skills
Experience:
- Experience working in logistics preferred, Diploma in Logistics Management or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Logistics/Warehouse/Supply Chain
- Do possess Class 3 & 4 driving and Forklift licenses.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and long hours.
