Patient Assessment and Treatment

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, including medical history, range of motion, strength, and functional abilities.
• Plan, discuss with patient, develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on above findings and goals set by patients and referring healthcare professionals (if applicable)
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exervises and modalities on patients so that they will heal symmetrically and improve their function
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary for optimal outcome

Patient Management

• Provide education and guidance to patients on injury prevent, self-management techniques and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes
• Collaborate with clinic’s Chiropractors, Functional Wellness Therapists and TCM Physicians for optimal and efficient patient recovery

Customer Service & Communication

• Provide exceptional customer service, compassion and effective communication to patients, ensuring their comfort, satisfaction and understanding throughout the treatment program
• Collaborate with front desk staff to co-ordinate patient scheduling

Company Events and Activities

• Conduct and/or participate in Company programs such as health talks, roadshows and charity programs

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Physical Therapy/Physiotherapy or equivalent, from an accredited institution
• Be registered with AHPC and have and maintain a Practicing Certificate (PC) *It is It is an offence to practise as an allied health professional in Singapore without registration and a valid practising certificate.*
• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field

• Assist physiotherapists during rehabilitation and daily programme of the rehab centre
• Handle general enquiries and manage patients’ appointment schedule
• Maintain cleanliness of centre including cleaning of floor, pantry, treatment plinths and exercise equipment on a daily basis
• When needed, provide porter service to patients and elderly to-and-fro rehab centre and drop-off porch/carpark/bus-stop
• When needed, perform administrative tasks such as issuing invoices, printing documents

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years' practical experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, ideally gained within a private practice or outpatient orthopedic clinic within a hospital setting.
• Preference will be given to senior physiotherapists with at least 5 years' experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously, with a proactive approach to patient care.
• Candidates with specialized expertise in Clinical Pilates and soft tissue therapy are highly desirable.

Clinical Care

• Is responsible for compliance of all therapy standards as stipulated by the Ministry of Health and Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
• Carry out assessment on residents as part of the admission assessment and conduct regular routine assessment on in-house residents who may require physiotherapy or rehabilitation service.
• Recommend appropriate physio or rehab programme for residents.
• Provide leadership to the therapy staff to ensure safe and quality resident care, and in compliance to standards. Is responsible for the supervision, evaluation and disciplining of staff in her/ his team
• Promote evidence-based practices on therapy services
• Ensure written policies, procedures and work process are available and up to date to guide therapy services
• Evaluate and ensure that therapy services are being delivered in accordance to policies, guidelines and procedures
• Assist in the implementation of resident’s discharge plan to ensure smooth transition back to the community
• Provide training for caregivers in preparation for resident’s discharge back to the community.
• Monitor therapy service quality performance indicators and develop action plan for continuous improvement.

• Review and update therapy services workflow, policies and procedures

Training & Development

• Direct and facilitate therapy aides’ development, skills and competency upgrading through various opportunities
• Teach, mentor and supervise therapy aides in performing the various prescribed therapy services
• Conduct regular and on-going assessment of therapy aides’ competencies to ensure achievement of targets set and/or expected competency levels
• Orientate and appraise newly joined staff members during their induction
• Assist the Rehab Manager in identifying, planning and making decisions to meet training and developmental needs of therapy aides

Administration

• Utilise performance management and counselling skills effectively to motivate staff to perform at their optimal level and ensure care delivered is in compliance to standards of practice
• Ensure the safe storage of all confidential files, records, documents; and that residents confidentiality is maintained at all times
• Ensure that effective and cooperative working relationships are maintained within the Therapy team, and between internal and external customer groups
• Oversee the administration of the physiotherapy office, station, equipment and all relevant facilities. To report any faults to the manager. Ensure proper documentation and billing for residents.
• Maintain an inventory list of therapy equipment and ensure regular maintenance is done
• Perform such other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the Administrator.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and fully registered with AHPC, Singapore.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in a healthcare environment.
