Join our passionate library team in this unique and thrilling opportunity for individuals who love the world of knowledge and information! We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to fill the role of Library Officer at our esteemed Legal Library. In this role, you'll have the chance to interact with a diverse range of legal resources and play a key role in our mission to deliver outstanding information services to our community.
The job scope of a library officer includes the following:
- Performing amendments on government statutes
- Provision of library and information service to meet the needs of library users
- Providing reference and research services to library users
- Managing E-resources (online databases and e-journals, e.g. Lexis Advance, Westlaw, Lawnet, HeinOnline, etc.)
- Arranging inter-library loans and providing document delivery service
- Developing library collections and handling library resource acquisition
Due to the nature of the work in the legal library, library officers are required to work in the library every day without option of flexible work arrangement (e.g. work from home).
In this dynamic and fast-paced role, it is essential that you possess the qualities of a self-starter, demonstrating the ability to take initiative and work independently. Your strong motivation and drive will play a crucial role in your success as you navigate the various challenges and opportunities that arise.
Furthermore, exceptional organisational skills are vital, enabling you to manage your time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.
